Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 2000 Porsche boxster convertible with automatic transmission and original 65k miles. As you can see in the photos, the car looks great. Believe it or not the car looks even better than the photos show. This is my wifes car and with the new baby it is not practical anymore. So it is up for sale. I'm going to describe the car to the best of my knowledge and please ask any questions that I may have not answered. The exterior looks great! the paint shines like new. I had the front bumper cover painted when she first purchased the car due to some stone chips. The passenger side door edge, by the door handle has some touch up paint. I tried taking photos of it but I couldn't get it to show. There is a scratch on the driver's side quarter panel by the door(shown in the photos). The trunk has couple of small dime size bumps which are hardly noticable. (again, it wouldn't show in the photo) I think the previous owner might have closed the trunk on some groceries or something. The convertible top canvas is in good condition with no rips or tears and it works excellent. The back plastic window is still clear and visibility is good. The interior is in really nice condition with no rips or tears on the seats. The dash has no cracks. The center console has some scratches on the side but nothing noticable, unless you are searching for imperfections. The carpets are nice and clean. Mechanicaly the car is sound. It runs and drives smooth without any problems. It got all the required services since we purchased it. The radio works good. The windows, door locks, gauges, seats, and lights all work good. The A/C blows ice cold and the heater works good too. Now about the salvage title...My wife works for one of the major insurance companies and was able to purchase this car after they issued a salvage title due to flood damage. The previous owner drove into a flooded intersection. It was deep enough for the water to get inside the vehicle about two inches from the floor. The antitheft/alarm unit for these cars is under the driver's side seat. The water caused the control unit to short out and so the car wouldn't run anymore. Make a long story short, insurance companies don't botter with flood repairs if the car fails to start. So, they paid off the previous owner and issued a salvage title. The repair shop checks the car and replaces the alarm box and the car starts and runs like new. The Porsche mechanic recomended changing the fuse box by the driver's side kick panel, just to be on the safe side. So, that's changed too. The cars been a great commuter since. Please only bid if you intend to purchase. Your bid is a legal binding contract. If you are unsure about purchasing a car from the internet, please don't bid. Please ask all questions prior to bidding, not after. $500 non-refundable deposit is due at the end of auction via paypal. The rest must be paid with a cashier's check prior to delivery of vehicle or cash in person when picking up. Please note, the car will not be shipped until the cashier's check has cleared. If you don't agree to these terms, please don't bid. Thank you and good luck!
