Vehicle Detail

This car was just featured on barn finds dot com Up for sale I have a BAD ASS 52 Chevy Deluxe Styleline 2 Door in original Admiral Blue paint. This car is a true survivor South Dakota barn find and is a one owner car last on the road in 1969. The car is all original down to the paint (whats left of it) but the original patina is what drew me to this car as you just don't see them in this condition every day. I bought the car on a whim to build a hot rod. I was inspired by the ICON Derelict 52 Deluxe... Just google Icon Derelict and you will be amazed at what can be done. Unfortunatley I have to many projects and it is just not realistic for me right now as my 63 Fairlane just came out of paint and I need to finish it. This car is rock solid with only the surface patina that you see. No rust through on the body, frame, trunk or floors with the exception of the master cylinder opening on the driver floor which is an easy patch. The car is 100% original and complete sans front and rear seat. The rear wheels have that true hot rod vibe and look to be GMC to me. The front wheels are period correct. The tires are new Cooper Cobra GT Radials 215 70 15. I sent the tires out to South Dakota as the old ones were flat and dry rotted. I think they look perfect! All glass is good except for the driver vent window which is cracked. All trim is useable but some will need repair. The gaps are great and doors, hood and trunk all open and close as they should. The interior is so cool with great vibe. Just needs headliner, seats (original frames on ebay for around $150) and door panels and maybe carpet :)... All the wiring is original and is still a 6 volt car. The engine has not run in a long time. It has the 216 with a 3 speed manual. Car rolls and steers but breaks don't work. Needs a new 6 volt Battery as well. What a great car and I hate to see it sit in my yard for the coming winter. My plan was to lightly wet sand the body and spray it with a satin clear coat to preserve the original appeal like the Icon car. What ever you decide to do this is a great foundation for a Hot Rod or Restoration. Hood decorations not included! The paint code is 472 Admiral Blue which has turned green on the outside. Vin # 5KKL 80928, Trim code is 212. Body code K21526. Style number 52-1011. I have applied for Il title but it won't be here for 6 to 8 weeks. I will send the title to the new owner once received. The car can be transported with bill of sale. I doubt you will need the title any sooner as this car will need some work to get on the road. I will be posting tons of pics tomorrow so please be patient. This car will make a great project with out much hassle to get running in my opinion. Please ask all questions before purchase. Buyer responsible for all shipping. No warranty implied. Payment must be received in 48 hours no tire kickers please :) Please call me to ask any detailed questions 773-562-3925.
