Vehicle Detail
- 1976 Chevy Corvette Stingray - Last year of the "Stingray" Corvette's before they got rid of the moniker. The Engine is the L-48 350 V8 mated to the TH 350 Automatic Transmission. All matching numbers engine and transmission with the corvette double hump heads and the like. The engine was rebuilt per previous owner who can also verify this. Its got about 5,ooo miles give or take on the engine since the re-build. He never drove it really all that much and I havent been able to much either so it needs to go to someone who can. Runs and drives very strong and sounds great. Shifts very smoothly. The cement underneath the car is stained from some of my other cars that I've worked on, its not from the Vette. There are no leaks. Has newer dual exhaust with original manifolds. No engine issues what so ever here. Great oil pressure. No smoke, no knocks or ticks of any kind so there is absolutely no worries there. Has the Edelbrock 650 Carburetor with a nice newer set of Mickey Thompson (M/T) valve covers. Easy to go back original there if you pleased to do so. Corvette Red with black deluxe interior. A/c car. Power steering and power disc brakes all work like a charm. Brakes were recently installed on the car. Has set of almost new Firehawk Indy 500 tires which are white letter and have great tread life. Beauty rings and center caps are in fantastic shape as well as the original Rallye Rims. There are no rust issues what so ever on the pans or the frame. Everything is super solid on this one. Has newer front end bushings and new shocks all the way around. Rears are air shocks which can be adjsuted to your liking. Seats are in great shape, no tears or issues what so ever. Dash is very nice, no sun damage. Console and door panels are all in fantastic shape. Carpeting is newer. Electric Windows work great on the car. All lights and signals work. Has all interior paneling in amazing shape. Very plush interior. Just needs someone to give it the attention that it needs. I cant at the moment since its really not practical for me anymore and I dont want her to sit around. I start her all the time and drive her on weekends. Gets looks and thumbs up everywhere you go garaunteed. She looks great. Has a little clear coat coming off on the passenger side T-Top and a couple other spots as well as some paint chipping on the passenger front nose/well areas where some paint had peeled off that you can see in the pictures. You can get a decent paint job for around $700 at Maaco: strip, prime and paint to take care of that if you pleased. She looks great as is, nice eye appeal for sure but it would look amazing with a new paint job. You can drive her anywhere and do the paint etc as you go. Nothing like these old Stingrays, the body style was just one of a kind and looks amazing. There's very rarely anything looking like these on the road when you drive. Very unique classic muscle/sports car from the golden age of cars. I am posting more pictures of the it tomorrow for those interested. I will do more body, interior, undercarriage/pans and frame pics etc. If interested feel free to ask any questions. Thanks and god bless. Paul. Good Luck.
