1956 Chevrolet 3100 1/2 Ton Pickup - Nicely Customized - Check It Out! This 1956 Chevy 3100 looks and runs great! It is ready to go! It has a Chevy 350 (5.7 liter) V8, bored .030 over so it is actually a 355 cubic inch motor. This engine, with headers and an Accel ignition coil, is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission with floor shifter. The truck has a Chevy S-10 front suspension with disc brakes, and a Ford 9 inch rear end with traction bars. It has a Chevy S-10 steering column and steering wheel. The interior includes custom velour bucket seats and a center console. A sunroof has also been added. In addition to the factory speedometer, the truck has a Sun Super Tach II tachometer and Suntune analog gauges. All of the glass is in good condition with no "milky" spots which is often seen in vehicles of this age. Small, colorful "sparklies" have been applied to the rear window - these can be seen in one of the photos if you look closely. These do not interfere with visibility at all. The body has been completely gone over and has a custom paint job. The wood floor in the truck bed is in excellent shape as well. The undercarriage is surprisingly clean as well! See the last two photos. Please note that the odometer is in excess of its mechanical limits. Under Indiana law, this will sell as "Mileage Exempt" for this reason.
