Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1966 mustang coupe. This is a c code 289 2v hardtop car that came from the factory with the vinyl top.I just bought this car yesterday with the intentions of a quick flip. This car has a good running 289 in it and a smooth shifting c4 trans. The previous owner replaced the rocker moldings tail light bezels fender emblems bumpers wheel opening chrome windshield and some of the weatherstripping.I noticed last night that it also has a remanufactured carb as well as a new gas tank and flowmaster mufflers.Someone in time past has put headers and shackles on this little pony so its a lil old school. As for the interior the previous owner replaced the dash pad arm rest carpet sun visors door panels and headliner. The door panels have small screws holding them on instead of factory clips this was a mistake on his part door panels need replaced really. The car will come with spare drivers door and a trunk lid.The trunk lid on car appears to have rust on the underside lip. door is just a spare that he gave me.The guy replaced the lower quarter on drivers side back as well partial floor pans and put a patch panal in the trunk that runs along the taillight panel. This guy tried restoring this car and told me that it was his first time doing this kinda thing and it shows. The paint job on this car looks horrible i mean its awful the gaps need adjusted all over and it looks like he painted it in a dust storm inside and out. This car needs a total all over repaint. My wife and i drove it around town last night and i also noticed that the cluster lights or gages dont work but it drove ok for a old car with the exception of a brake shoe making a lil noise. all in all you can get in this car and drive it all major parts has been replaced so with a good paint job this would be a nice cruise in car.thankyou and god blessOn Oct-11-12 at 08:49:13 PDT, seller added the following information: mileage listed is not whats showing the speedo isnt working On Oct-12-12 at 19:54:49 PDT, seller added the following information: ok i have been driving car and its done great only issues ive noticed is that brake shoes need adjusted evenly.i changed the oil and filter today. i also noticed that the car has all the brake shoes drums wheel cylinders and springs are new.Someone had messed the wheels up on the back and they road rough so i slapped a set of cragers on car today with good tires.i figured out also that its the rear u joint making the noise a 8 dollar part.i want to stress that this is by no means a show car although it looks good in pics the paint is awful and will need to be redone. On Oct-15-12 at 15:51:11 PDT, seller added the following information: ok fellow ebayers i have gave this lil pony a tune up new filters oil plugs wires points and i even had the valve seals replaced they were gone.i am currently fixing the guages and i replaced the rear u joint and rear wheel bearings and changed the rearend grease. it has a appointment to get the exhuast leaks fixed.I want this to be a reliable car for someone all it will need is paint job and if it dont sell on here my dads body shop will give it the make over it needs.this car has a low reserve i cant beleave that it hasnt met it yet.
