Vehicle Detail

I can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful CB750's in Blue green you have ever seen. Story TimeThis bike is one of three 1970 CB750 bikes that a gentleman restored, one of each color, and then put them in his living room to look at and enjoy. I don't think he was married. He decided a few years back to sell them for what ever reason and advertised them all for sale in his local town. The gentleman that I bought this from ran down there as fast as he could but by the time he got there the gold CB750 was sold. He is a collector himself and went ahead and bought the ruby red one and this one. He enjoyed them a few years and kept them in his beautiful shop with many really nice classic cars and bikes. A friend of mine told me about them and I went and bought them. I too am a collector and have way to many bikes (according to my wife) so up for sale first is this beauty and next down the road will be the ruby red one. Just look at the pictures and see how nice it is but let me try to break it down. Numbers matching frame and engine Cb750 1029834 frame and CB750E 1030014The blue green paint is a 10 out of 10.The frame paint is nice but there are a couple of spots with orange peel, not bad but not perfect. HM300 pipes have the nicest chrome finish I have ever seen and these are a 10 out of 10.These pipes really sound nice, definitely deeper and louder than the HM341's. Original wheels re-chromed and re-spoked. The bike came with a new K1 seat. I had this original K0 seat with original cover and pan but the foam has been replaced. This bike deserves a K0 seat. There are 2 small holes on each side of the seat. When it was redone he put in extra foam and thus could not realign the holes to the original trim. You could remove the cover and trim down the foam so it would match up to those holes and I would also paint the bottom of the pan. There is a bunch of parts that appear to be new or NOS Both handlebar switches, mirrors, handlebars, blinkers, gas cap, the gauges NOS plastic gauges with only the miles that you see on them. These are not reconditioned, they are factory. I forgot to turn on the key and show you how nice all of the lights look. The oil lines appear new as well. The tires are period correct and still have the nubs. Let's talk about the engine. I do not know how many miles are on it because of the new gauges. I ran a compression check on it and all four were from 160-165.The previous owner had left some gas in the tank but not in the carbs. but I took it to the local CB750 guru and had him do a complete rebuilt on the carbs with new kits and did the carb sync.He also did a complete tune-up on it and I replaced the rubber air cleaner boots with OE.The tank has not been creamed and is clean but does have a few small spots of varnish stains from the old gas. The bike runs well and is very smooth, I won't lie those single cable carbs are a bit fussy but it is running good. There is a very small oil seep on the right side of the head. It is just one of those things you wipe off after you ride it. It is no way big enough to warrant pulling the motor to fix it. What else, I rebuilt the master cylinder and caliper with Honda OE parts. Works great.Oh I am throwing in an original owner's manual too and a tool kit as seen in the pictures. So anyway I bought the bike and did or had done all of the things you need to look at or do to a bike that has been sitting for some time. I wanted whoever buys it to be able to ride it whenever they wanted if that is what they choose or you can just drain the fluids and put it with your collection or in your mancave. I hope I covered everything, but please any questions please ask before bidding. If I think of any other things I missed I will post them. I have a clear calif title in my name and it is registered non-op. A $500 deposit is required through Paypal 48 hours after auction ends. The balance to be paid in full within 7 days of auction end. Please get with me after the auction for details.I will assist in working with the shipper of your choice. Thanks for reading all of this, I am just trying to be as thorough as possible.Happy bidding and it is a fair reserve price for a bike of this caliber. On Oct-10-12 at 10:56:57 PDT, seller added the following information: I received a question from HCL450 this morning and I spent quite sometime typing up your answer and when I went to send it Ebay had a mishap and said your question was over 90 days old and dropped it. Please send me another brief question so I can try again. I remember your first on. Thanks and sorry. Also while I am here for everyone else. The professionally painted blue green color appears blue in the pictures. This bike is the correct Honda blue green color. It also has the correct short plastic chain guard in great condition.
