Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my freshly repainted safari beige 633csi on a set of 3 piece BBS 16" mesh wheels on 225/50/16 tires with plenty of tread left on them.. The Bad: The interior will need carpet replaced, the driver’s side seat will need to be reupholstered, the headliner has some tears on the driver’s side rear pillar, the rear deck will need to be recovered, and the passenger seat has a separation of the seam towards the drivers side, and the dash is cracked in several places and will need a new vent grate in the upper center. The driver’s side door trim is missing the retainer stud at the very rear. The driver’s side trim from the rear of the front fender back will need to be replaced as the car was next to a car that caught on fire prior to my ownership which also melted the turn signal and marker lamp housings on that side. All these are still functional and hard to notice unless you are close up, just not cosmetically perfect. The driver’s side glass has some scratched where the window got off track The car will also need the heater core replaced, which I have a new one that will come with the car uninstalled, the existing heater core is currently bypassed. The A/C system is intact but I am not sure if it holds pressure or the current condition of the system as a whole. The Good: The exterior has been professionally restored and repainted and finished just a month ago with a base clear and is slick as glass. The drive train has under 143k original miles and the engine pulls seamlessly and it has loads of passing power at highway speeds. The 5 speed is the highly sought after bulletproof Getrag 265 which shifts very smoothly. All the electronics work and the windows raise and lower rapidly. The rear seats are in fantastic condition. The exhaust was replaced with a OEM BMW full exhaust system and has no leaks what so ever. The suspension is firm yet very comfortable. This car has no fluid leaks! This was the last year of the E12 based E24’s and because of that, it has a much more robust front end design as opposed to the e28 based E24’s which develop the front end shimmy over time due to their lower control arm bushing design. I drove the car from Greenville SC to central Alabama on 11 gallons of gas, which is very impressive for a 31 year old car. The roundels are in perfect shape as is the trunk interior and this car will come with the BMW E24 car cover as well. I do drive it a couple of days a week on nice days, but at work it stays in the warehouse and when at home it stays in the garage. This car is by no means perfect, but it is a very clean car that drives flawlessly. It is a very docile smooth ride with plenty of power on tap. Some extras that can come with the car for the right price are the original TRX wheels and the Alpina progressive rate lowering springs. I have over $10,000.00 invested in this car and have the reserve set at a steal for much less than that. All serious offers will be considered.
