Vehicle Detail

Starts right up; runs and drives; new battery; fully serviced with new plugs, oil, filter, gear oil, less than 500 miles ago; always serviced regularly; new petcock; replaced clutch cable. It's good to drive home. Includes two good spare tires (you will need them.) Includes a very cool extra black cafe racer style tank from a GS1100GK - solid with minimal wear and good paint. The bike needs a tachometer cable. The bike also needs a choke plunger (about $5 for a good plastic lawnmower choke plunger at most hardware stores,) and after you install a choke plunger, you will need to lean out the carbs by adjusting the enrichment screws out - to maximize performance. This is a good running bike. Looks cool with a custom low-rider seat and cafe handlebar. Signals and lights work; good motor; good carbs; good bike. There is a small air-suction leak at one intake boot because the carburetor is not situated precisely. The black gas tank would be well off to be etched inside or shaken with steel BBs to shake out the old flaking tank liner; and then relined with a $15 liner from an auto-parts store. *** YES, THE GAS CAP AND PETCOCK FROM THE GRAY TANK DO FIT THE BLACK GAS TANK *** The throttle cable will also need to be adjusted because it crimps when the handlebars are turned sharply and that revs up the engine. The engine is solid and the bike can be driven safely on the highway (by an experienced and licensed rider) after it warms up, even though the carbs are adjusted rich to compensate for the missing choke plunger. This is a great bike for any one who wants to finish the cafe-racer project I started earlier this summer with the black gas tank and new low-rider seat cover. Its a large bike, 1100cc, and has lots of power and is very fast; even faster when precisely tuned. There are a couple of minor dents in the gray gas tank, but the black gas tank has no dents. I hope I didn't leave out any details. If I remember or see any thing not mentioned in this description, I will revise it. My father won't let me work in the garage any more this year and so I have moved onto different projects. I repaired, serviced and sold 16 motorcycles this season. I am an experienced mechanic with 21 years of motorcycle experience. If you have any questions call me any time at 740-215-2970. All of the parts shown in the pictures are included with this motorcycle. The bike is being sold as it appears in the first picture, with the gray tank installed, and the cafe handlebar. The other parts are included with the sale for the buyers use as you see fit. I need a minor $30 title transfer fee on top of the final bid, to cover the cost of title transfer. The title is clear and I am the legal owner. But I purchased this bike to resell as a cafe-racer. As I said before, my father can not provide space and facility in his garage to complete the project, so I am selling it as is for you to complete. Its a nice bike with a very reliable engine and solid working components.
