Selling A 2001 Lexus is300, automatic,, 178 650 miles... Its a salvage title. i have owned the vehicle for a year. the car is cosmetically bad. The previous owner did a horrible job on fixing the car, the bondo work is bad. it was not sanded right. the right front fender is a little dented, the rear right side wheel well is dented due to a small hit. Mechanically it has not given me any problems, i have done the routine oil change every three thousand miles, using premium gas... the car is a salvage title, the title says unknown mileage, when i went to register it here in massachusetts I WROTE THE WRONG MILEAGE on the title and in order to change i would of had to gotten the seller to write a letter, i didnt have the time so i just took the unknown thing, the carfax will show you the mileage is correct. i never cared anyway i bought the car for 6500, it was not a big problem for me. it drove AND looked semi ok.. the rear well dent was done by me the rest of the cosmetic ding and dents and imperfections were there since the day i bought THE CAR.. IN THE PICTURES YOU WILL SEE THE CAR HAS THE NAVIGATION SCREEN THAT WAS ADAPTED TO IT, AS FAR AS I KNOW THE 2001 DIDNT COME WITH THIS BUT THE PREVIOUS OWNER ADAPTED AN AFTERMARKET SCREEN TO AN OEM LEXUS NAVIGATION SET UP. THE BUTTON WORK TO CLOSE AND OPEN AND TIL THE SCREEN BUT I CRACKED THE NAVIGATION SCREEN ON A TRIP TO HOME DEPOT A PIECE OF METAL TUBE WHEN RIGHT TO IT WHEN I HOT THE BRAKES. SO IT RUINED THE SCREEN AND TOUCH SCREEN DOESNT WORK. TO GET IT WORKING I WOULD ASSUME IT HAS BE CHANGED OUT BUT I NEVER CARE I USUALLY JUST KEEP THAT SCREEN DOWN UNLESS I NEED TO SEE SOME STREETS IT STILL GHUIDES YOU BUT YOU CANT ENTER ANYTHING ON THE SCREEN SINCE LIKE I MENTIONED, THE TOUCHSCREEN DOES NOT WORK.... the car will need an oil change, rear brakes changed, and rear left tire had a thread gone so it bumps as you drive it. i would maybe do a tune up since its high miles and i never asked the previous owner if they did one, but i didnt so i would suggest doing one. the car is being sold as is no warranty, its an old car and i want to get rid of it to buy something better for the snow. anyway the car is sold as is, i do have the car for sale locally so if the car sell i will end the auction. if you have any question please email, i will answer as soon as possible. I DRIVE IT EVERYDAY AND I BOUGHT THE CAR WHEN IT HAD 161K OR SO,, I HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR BACK AND FORTH TO NYC HENCE I PUT ABOUT 17K MILES IN ONE YEAR. THE CAR NEVER FAILED ME. I HAVE TAKEN CARE OF IT MECHANICALLY JUST NOT COSMETICALLY. REASON WHY IM SELLING? I AM LOOKING TO BUY AN AWD CAR. ONCE AGAIN THE CAR HAS NOT FAILED ME BUT IN THE WINTER IS PRETTY USELESS.
