Vehicle Detail
I have owned this for 4 1/2 years. It has been very reliable with no major problems. I bought it with an 5 year extended warranty which required regular services so I brought it in for regular service maintenance, I have the paperwork. - 2wd, 5.2 liter v8, automatic, tow package, gray cloth interior, am/fm/cd with aux audio input, seats 6, ac works great, bedliner - 5.2 liter v8 which saves a bit on gas compared to the 5.9 liter version. I get 14.5mpg city - it runs perfect, always starts first try - the tires have 17,000k miles on them, so they are not new but still have quite a bit of life in them. One of the tires is worn more than the other because it was out of alignment; but I got it aligned and rotated a few months ago. - I just brought it in to get it aligned and rotated. - I have had nothing more than $350 go wrong with this truck; it is very reliable! - the shift indicator is off to the left by 1/2 a gear sowhen it is in drive it looks like it is between neutral and drive, and when in 2nd it looks like it is drive and 2nd. I had my mechanic look at it 2 years ago and he said that it if it gets worse to bring it in, but it has never got any worse. - has some scratches and dings but no dents. It isn't a show truck but it looks pretty good - but it is very reliable. - I had trouble getting the hood polished and waxed. I don't think it down to primer because I basically never polish or wax it, but I thought it was worth mentioning. - passed California smog 3 months ago when I renewed the registration, I don't know if that is soon enough that we don't have to smog it again or not (I haven't bought or sold very many vehicles) - has a clear title (not salvaged). - rust free, not a hint of rust - if you don't want the rack, you can take $100 off the price. I would consider a trade for a small truck: Nissan Frontier, Ford Ranger, Dodge Dakota, Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado or similar. I need it to have less than 110k miles and seat 5 with 4 doors. I need to get a truck that is worth less than my truck and end up with at least $1,000 out of the deal. The truck was was in a accident in Jan 2011. I rear ended somebody. I was on a street going about 20 mile per hour and it had just started raining. The person in front of me stopped and I almost stopped. We hit going 4 or 5 mph. We barely hit. My bumper had a tiny dent and I didn't report it because I figured I could get it replaced for less than my deductible (which was $500). The guy that I hit said his neck hurt and called for an ambulance. A police officer came and rolled his eyes at the other guy and took in info and told me I could leave. To make a long story short, after several conversations with my insurance company, they denied his ambulance and medical claim. The point I am trying to make is that it was a very low impact, minor accident.I had the bumper replaced; not a big deal, but I thought I should mention it.
