Vehicle Detail
This is a 1977 Porsche 911S Targa in excellent and very drivable condition. The body is in great condition. There is no rust I can find anywhere on the car. The pearl white paint is of very high quality and in superb condition. I could find only one very tiny ding and a few tiny paint chips here and there. The pictures don't do the paint justice. All the glass is in great condition as is all the exterior trim. The Fuchs wheels are very nice with just a little bit of curb rash in spots. the 215/60 R15 tyres are all excellent. The Interior is in very nice condition. The seats are excellent front and back. The carpets are decent. The dash board is nice except for a crack in the under dash AC unit where presumably a persons foot accidentally kicked it many times while entering and exiting the car. The drivers door panel pocket also has some damage from probably the same cause. The instruments all work. The clock does work but the second hand doesn't move. The odometer works but not the trip odometer. The heat and defrost works great. This car has factory AC and it is still all connected but does not blow very cold. Even without the AC working the additional fresh air coming through the AC's blower is nice in the summer. The wipers, lights and horn all work great. It has a working Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette. The Targa top is in great condition. The sun visors are not installed but are included albeit in rough condition. The rubber seal for the drivers side window is a bit rough and could use replacement although it does seal ok. Mechanically the car is very strong. The 2.7 litre horizontally opposed 6 cylinder fuel injected engine is in very stock and very good condition. It starts easy every time although from cold starts it doesn't want to idle for the first 30 seconds or so (you just keep your foot on the pedal). It pulls very strong with no smoke or hesitation or problems of any kind. This is a vintage Porsche so I cant promise there are no oil leaks but if any they are very minimal. The 5 speed gearbox shifts through all gears well except for a slightly slow synchro in 2nd. If you shift to quickly into 2nd you'll get a little crunch shift just a bit slower and no problem at all. The 4 wheel disc brakes work excellent and the hand brake works too. The steering is great and the suspension smooth. Overall this car is in very good condition and ready to jump in and drive straight away. The value of 911's has gone up a lot in recent years and after one drive it's easy to see why. Not many cars can combine as many elements as successfully as the 911 has. Great racing history both on and off road. Extremely sporty to drive yet roomy and comfortable. Room for kids and or luggage. Truly a remarkable car. The Porsche comes with a good spare tyre, tools and a complete set of keys. It has a clear title. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and arrangements. I highly recommend and encourage a personal inspection if possible. The 911 can be viewed by appointment in Granite Falls WA (near Seattle) I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. International bidders welcome! Car must be picked up within 30 days. Feel free to ask any questions. Be sure to watch this video of this Porsche in action, filmed the day this listing was started:
