Vehicle Detail

Here's a beautiful example of a Z car that looks straight from Japan!! The quality of the work to get this car to show as it does is extremely professional. Factory Zeibart undercoating and ZERO RUST!!!! Originally a 56k mile car before the build was started!! Good luck finding another one of those!! The car shows 65k miles now, but the speedo and odometer doesn't work now as the original Z cable is mechanical and the 300ZX trans is electrical. Glass out paint job, finished in Toyota Mica Blue that shows very well 8.5-9/10 and the only reason is driving the car, it's tough not to get a few small rock chips. This car has A/C!! needs a recharge and might have that done before the sale, but heat/defrost work just fine. All brightwork shows exceptionally well with no rust or pitting on front and rear glass and doors. The fender flares were installed properly and the body panels (inside and out) were bonded together correctly and undercoated. Watanabe wheels in 16x9 front and 16x10 in the rear really set this car off and the centers were color matched to the car - very rare and expensive wheels. The motor is not original, and is from an 80's 280ZX turbo running only 10 lbs. with a Turbonetics GTK500R turbo (450-550 hp capable) and upgraded fuel lines and injectors!!! Adding an adapter plate, installed is a '90 300ZX TT 5 spd transmission that shifts smoothly with no grinding or apparent issues. The R200 differential puts the power down to the MT ET street tires and this car hooks!! Interior is about an 8/10 and I only say that because the driver side seat bolster has some wear and a few interior bits could show better. New brake booster and water pump installed, along with clutch slave cylinder and MSD coil pack. Please feel free to call with any questions or concerns anytime @ 864-787-8598. I will put the car on my lift tonight and add pictures of the super clean bottom of the car. Here's the details: Drivetrain/Engine upgrades:Early 80's L28 280ZX Turbo engineTurbonetics GTK500R turboGreddy BOVGreddy Profec electronic boost controller (has power and installed in the glove box, but not hooked up to the ECM)Haltech computerFAST air/fuel managementBosch 044 fuel pumpMSD 6AL and HVS coil pack'90 300 ZX TT TransmissionR200 differentialZ32 rear brakes (front and rear slotted/drilled rotors)3" turbo back straight through exhaust with Magnaflow muffler Exterior:JDM fender mirrorsZG fender flaresZenon front bumperWatanabe wheels (Hankook Ventus 245/45/ZR16 fronts and MT ET Street 255/50/16 rears)Headlight coversH4 headlight conversion (not HID, but extremely clear) Interior:New carpet installedDash pad which is PERFECTCorbeau racing seats with 4 pt. harnesses (factory seats included but they need to be recovered)JVC CD player with Pioneer speakers in the hatch (even the power antenna works!)Autometer boost gauge in factory clock space IN ADDITION: This car also comes with two other motors!!! I also have a 3.1L forged internals, diesel crank and ported/polished heads that was purchased used and has never been installed in this car. Allegedly this motor is capable of 25-30 lbs. of boost but I'm going on the information from the previous owner. Also, there's a fresh 2.8L block that's bored .50 over and there's enough parts to build another complete motor and the .50 over forged pistons are included, as well. A complete second dash cluster is also included along with several other spare parts will be included. To replicate what you see here, you'd easily be over $20k... The car is 95% finished and here's what needs to be done: Engine bay was never painted from the factory orange (I was planning to put the other motor in and do it at that time, but so far, I haven't had time)To drive this car in the rain, you will need to put a set of rear tires out back (street tires)Speedo/odometer hooked upCenter console has a crack underneath the armrest (not very obvious, but it's not a perfect console - hard to find a good one) Ask all the questions you like, I really enjoy driving this car, but it's time to move on to other projects and this one has to go. I reserve the right to end auction at any time for any reason. Thanks and good luck, Z fans!!! On Oct-04-12 at 19:47:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Here's a link to more pics of the car, mainly the underside, trans, fuel, half shafts, diff, etc. The one pic that looks like a big blank space of undercoating is actually the battery tray - that's how clean it is. http://s395.photobucket (dot) com/albums/pp34/dpalacino/datsun/ (replace the (dot) with a . and you'll see it...) apparently ebay doesn't allow links any more?? thanks!
