Here is my 1960 VW beetle. I finished restoring this car last summer and I enjoy it every time I start it up. This car has been my daily driver for a few months and it runs perfect. Absolutely no oil leaks on this original 36 h.p. motor. This is a matching numbers factory ragtop car. The gentleman I purchased it from kept very good care and almost all maintenance records including tire rotations. Indigo blue is a 1960 only color so when I had it repainted I kept the factory color. The floorpans on this car were absolutely perfect not even a pinhole was in them. I knew I would be driving and enjoying this car so I had no reason to to a body off restoration. Therefore it is not perfect but if you want a solid with absolutely no rust matching numbers car that you wont hesitate to drive here it is. The car is lowered with dropped spindles, has a 4 inch adjustable beam with shocks, lowered one click in the rear, has the period correct AP wheels with like new Michelin tires. I installed the Airkewld bad series disc brakes on the front and this car really drives and stops great. The interior I did is from sewfine and really looks and feels nice. All Brakes, hoses, lines, mounts, seals etc. have been replaced. When I disassembled the car I POR15 everything that would be weathered. The paint on the car is very nice and gets a lot of compliments. I do have the original beam, wheels, and spindles, if you wish to return it to stock. The 36 h.p. motor runs very strong, and starts right up every time. The previous owner had it freshened up before I purchased it. I did put a new original carb on it and it has manual choke which is great. Also has a nos vw fuel pump. Everything on this car works great. Electrical is still 6v and works perfect I have a 6v optima for starting. Im going to miss this car but Im needing a new truck for work. Please contact me for any further details at 864-979-8627.
