Vehicle Detail

1969 Mach 1 that was born and lived most of its life in California; the car was driven from California here to Colorado in 1999 without incident, where it has been stored most of the time since. The undercarriage, shock towers, rails, etc. are rust free. It does, for some reason, have rust (see photo) in the taillight panel, but a replacement panel is included in the sale, as well as most, if not all, trims pieces. The trunk also has a hole (see photo ) in the same spot on both sides not sure what its from but looks like it was intentional for some reason from the previous owner. Have Marti report that indicates it was originally Acapulco blue (code 3077-A), but we wanted a red one, hence its current color, a candy apple red that is of driver quality which has yet to be buffed. Strong 351 “M” code with an auto trans that has been built with a shift kit, making shifts real crisp. It was not equipped with A/C, but does have power steering and power disc brakes whose booster needs replacing. Has headers that hook up with Flowmasters, but we still have the originally headers. We have recently had a new interior, including headliner, installed, but because the car was exposed to some light hail sometime after being painted, it will not be totally completed in case the new owner desires to repaint the car. Otherwise the interior is within an hour or two of completion. There are some things that need attention: dash lights, horn, emergency brake, radio, windshield wipers, etc. We have not replaced the cracked windshield, again considering that it may have a repaint in the near future. All exterior lights function properly except high beams. New 14” B F Goodrich tires have about ten miles on them. This is not a car you will want to take to a car show yet, but it will take you to car shows now, with a smile. If you have been wanting a very solid 1969 Mach I but do not have the means or desire to pay even the low NADA book, this could be the car for you. It ran well enough to travel over 1200 +/- surprise free miles in 1999, and has basically been driven only from paint shop to upholstery shop and storage until now, and it should provide to be a great driver, or basis to take to the next level, for the new owner. I have a few photos of the car before it was painted with front clip off if interested. Vehicle is being sold as-is and buyer is responsible for shipping.
