Vehicle Detail

SOME OF THE GOOD DETAILS: You are looking at a 1969 X11 Camaro that was built in Norwood, Ohio. It has front disc brakes, a 4:10 posi rear end, a 400 turbo transmission, and comes with a 325 hp 396 engine. This car was originally burnt copper with white stripes and had a white vinyl top but it was painted a solid dark blue when I purchased it in 1996. I had the car painted to the current white with black stripes and had the vinyl top removed in 2006. Most of the interior is original but it does have a new headliner, front seats, and inside door panels. I have also had a new windshield installed, along with putting 4 new tires on it.SOME OF THE BAD DETAILS: The rebuild of the 396 engine needs to be completed so that it can be reinstalled into the car. There are a few bad spots in the paint that will need to be touched up and there is some rust underneath the car. The car also needs a radio, front seat belts, and some new brake lines. SOME HISTORY: I bought the car in 1996. The 396 engine did not run, the windshield was cracked, there were no front seat belts, and the drivers seat was in BAD shape. The paint and vinyl top were badly worn and peeling. I put the car in storage until 2006, when I decided it was time to do something with it. Along with the parts and paint that were replaced in 2006, I decided to put a 350 engine in the car so that I would actually be able to drive the car for the first time since I had purchased it. In 2009, I thought it was best to return the 396 to the car and I removed (and sold) the 350. However, when I started the process, I found that the 396 was in need of a new cam and that is as far as I got with the rebuild. This incredible piece of muscle car history sits quietly (as it has for most of the 16 years I have owned it) in storage just waiting for someone to resemble the engine, touch up the paint, and do a little brake work so that it can once again roar down the open road with the wind in its grill and its chrome gleaming in the sun.I have described this car as honestly and as accurately as I possibly can. Serious bidders are more than welcome to contact me with any questions that they may have as I do want them to be well informed and happy with the purchase. There is no warranty on this car, it is being sold as is, and the winning bid will be final.PayPal transactions only. Please, only bid if you are a serious buyer! If no contact is made within 48 hours I reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise.Thank you for taking the time to look at, read about, ask questions of, and possibly purchase what was once my dream car.
