Vehicle Detail

As you can see from the pictures, the car is beautiful... super clean. It has a new water pump and a new headliner. A/C, Power Steering Power brakes, AM/FM Cassette player, Rear Wheel Drive, power seats, power windows. I am the second owner of this vehicle. This is the 3rd 1984 Cutlass Supreme I have owned in my life and by far the nicest I've seen. If you aren't familiar with the Brougham model, it has cushy overstuffed seats that make you feel like you are driving down the street sitting in a big comfy couch. Low miles for a 1984 model... 96,808. Now for the heartbreaking (to me) part. The headgasket is blown and i do not have the bucks to have a mechanic shop replace it (I think they want like $1,000). For a person who wants to make an investment in repairing this engine or replacing the engine, this will be an awesome car... I can't tell you how many heads I turned cruising the streets with this Cutty. Car is in Dayton, OH. Buyer can make arrangements to inspect it at my house prior to purchasing. Buyer will be responsible to make all pickup/delivery arrangements. This car is sold "as is"... it ran strong... cold A/C... and was my pride and joy until the head gasket blew on 9/4/12 (two weeks ago). Thanks for your interest. I am the second owner of this car. The original owner had it Ziebarted every year and there are receipts for that. It really shows too because there is NO major rust on this car. I will take several more pictures and post them up tomorrow. The only other thing besides the blown head gasket that isn't 100% is the fuel gauge. It works intermittently. I replaced the original fuel sending unit in the tank hoping to fix that problem... that didn't fix it. This makes me think it may me a little corrosion in the connector where the sending unit attaches to the wire harness. My guess is if you are a do it yourselfer, that may be a $5 fix. Edit: Added pics of trunk interior and wheels... Trunk is huge, no rust,,, note in the photo of the inside of the trunk (showing back corner by spare tire) it was even ziebarted in there! The slight discoloration seen at the corner seams of the trunk deck is not rust... it is a residue that can be scrathced aay by fingernail, presumably a sealer used on thoe sheet metal seems. There is a burnhole in the driver seat,,,HOWEVER, THIS CAR DOES NOT SMELL OF SMOKE. That happened in a one time rule violation by my wife. That other little speck seen towards the back of the driver seat was a little leaf that flew in while I was taking pics. The headliner is new and tight, professionally re-covered. Olds factory mag wheels all around and Firehawk Indy 500 White letter tires all around. Power windows. Brougham. ADDITIONAL QUESTION AND ANSWER: Question: NEAD MORE PICTURES TO BID.UNDER HOOD,COMPLETE SHOT OF INTERIOR,UNDERSIDE,REAR FRAME RAILS THE SPOTS WHERE THEY ALL RUST.IS THE CAT STILL ON IT.IS THE ENGINE AND CAR COMPLETLY STOCK.ARE THE RIMS RUST PITTED ETC.THANKS Answer: I'll get the additional pics you requested if you send me your email. To address your concerns verbally in advance: This car has been babied. The engine and car are stock. Under the hood is a reasonably clean (i wouldn't eat off it) original 5.o litre V8 Olds engine. Yes the "cat"(catalytic converter) is still on... and every other part. This could easily be the type of classic car you would expect to see at a car show with a little elbow grease. All known defects have been described. Under the undercarriage is black ziebart as said in the ad. I'll try to take a pic, but I am not a photographer and not much detail shows up. As for the "entire interior"... you see the colors and I have shown the only imperfection, a cig burn in the driver seat... if you want to know what the backseat looks like... picture the drivers seat... with no burn hole. Feel free to come out and look the car over in person. No rust means No rust.... errr.. except the slight spots of surface rust where zeibart has flaked away.. See picsThe wheels are not pitted but need some elbow grease. I cleaned up one with metal polish to show the condition when clean, however the other hree will be left for the new buyer to do as a way to bond wth his or her new car.I am limited on the number of pics I can post. I can show additional pictures to any potential buyer via email if you would like to see more in order to decide if this is the right car for you. email me your email address to: poteettim@yahoo.com
