Excellent condition on this Classy little Coupe, It has air, traction control, roll bar control up or down, Grey Leather interior with memory. Two extra tires on Mercedes rims and a new Breathable waterproof cover. It has a detachable cover and a hideaway soft top. Powered by a 24-valve dual-overhead cam six-cylinder engine displacing 180.8 cubic-inches and offering nearly 230 horsepower. an optional five-speed automatic. Disc brake in both the front and rear. New for this year was the Adaptive Damping System (ADS). Both luxurious and sporty, the 300SL could race from zero-to-sixty in about 9 seconds. The mileage is 206 thousand just broke in according to my Mercedes mechanic. Here is an opportunity for a quality built sweet little coupe for a very entry level price. This vehicle has been in stored in a heated garage with no exposure to salt or bad weather. When I purchased the vehicle it had not been ran in two years. She had been diagnosed by Contemporary Motor Car our Mercedes Dealer in Erie. I replaced the ignition control module, with a new rebuilt unit and a new Bosch ignition coil. The company that rebuilds them said most of the failures are due to a weak, old coil and if I added a new coil they would give a 3 yr guarantee with the module. I turned the key and it started right up. The Tops work perfectly, You push the button and the roll bar goes down, the side windows go up, the window ledge moves out of the way and the convertible top comes up, the roll bar returns to the up position and the window ledge returns. The reverse for taking the top down. To put the hard top on with the convertible top down you sit the top in four holes hit the button and it locks it in the down position. The top is very lite and two people can lift it into position easily. Plug in the wires for the rear defroster and you are ready to go. I am selling this because I have no room to store it. It still has a couple small things to do to it. I replaced one of the side plastic window with DOT Plastic. I have enough to do the rear and the other side window and the material will be shipped with the car. The right headlight windshield wiper is broken and needs replaced. Their are two small motors in the wiper washer bottle, the front one needs to be replaced. The turning signals also need to be repaired. The left front has a different socket wired in, I believe that's the problem but not positive. The hood liner also needs replaced, new ones on Ebay are 60 dollars. I would have loved to keep this car and finish it but it's hunting season so I'm in Rut for the next three months, until all my tags are filled. We ran a CAR FAX on this unit and it was clean except some minor fender damage. No airbag deployment and it was fixed and the whole car was repainted. Except for a couple tiny little spots the exterior is beautiful. Local pick up on this car. I will do all I can on my end to have the car ready to be picked up by your shipper.
