Vehicle Detail

Here is something you won't see everyday. This extremely rare 1961 Skoda Felicia Convertible from Czechoslovakia is in great condition and ready to drive. It features an 1100cc four cylinder four stroke water cooled engine with factory dual carbs coupled to a column shift 4 speed gear box. This car has been well restored with every effort to maintain originality. The body and paint are excellent. There is NO rust I can find anywhere and the quality of the paint job is extremely high. There are no signs of accident damage or previous repairs except a very small area near the right rear tail light appears to have been touched up. The glass is all excellent. The chrome is also in great condition. The trim and unique aluminum door handles are all great too. The Interior is extremely nice as well. The front and back seats are very comfortable and the dashboard looks fantastic. The steering wheel looks great but the horn ring is loose on the wheel and the horn does not function. The carpets fit and look fabulous. The convertible top is in excellent condition and fits nicely. It also comes with a factory hard top with glass back window and headliner on the inside, also included is a soft top tonneau cover in great shape. The 165/80 R 15 tyres are near new and the wheels and hub caps are excellent and it does have a spare in the trunk. Mechanically the car is also great. The engine starts easy and runs and sounds great with a very sporty European exhaust note. The cooling system works perfect and features a radiator baffle that can be closed from inside the car. It's a small engine at only 1100cc but is quite peppy to drive and easily capable of 100kph (62 mph). The column shift 4 speed gearbox works perfect and shifts through all gears without any crunching or clunking (It's non synchro first). The brakes work excellent and the parking brake works too. The suspension is nice and smooth. The steering works great and the car tracks well but there is a lot of free play in the steering. The electrics are 12V negative ground and are mostly all working. The wipers, lights, instruments all work great. There is a heater but the fan does not work. The charging system works great but there is a switch under the dash that must be turned on and off in conjunction with the key to turn the generator on and off. I'm sure this is not original and this function was supposed to be done by the voltage regulator? anyway it does work well enough. Overall this car is in extremely good condition and very complete and original especially considering it's rarity. It is of course over 50 years old so please don't expect it to be too perfect. There are some very minor flaws here and there such as tears in rubber moldings or seals But they don't detract from the overall quality of this car. It's quite a fun and useable car and a sure bet winner at any car show. The Skoda has a clear title and comes with its original keys and two parts books (written in Czech). Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and arrangements. I highly recommend and encourage a personal inspection if possible. The Skoda can be viewed by appointment in Granite Falls WA (near Seattle) I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. International bidders welcome! Car must be picked up within 30 days. Feel free to ask any questions. Please watch this video of the Felicia in action:
