Vehicle Detail
1959 Ford Fairlane Galaxie 500 Geranium and White Coupe 2 door late 60's 302 with 2 spd Automatic trans 2 barrel carb Runs and Drives decent for the age and condition. Have driven it around and to a show. Drives straight, engine runs strong most of the time but is prone to flooding and could use a tune up.Not a fast car, but an awesome project. Could be an original resto or great custom. Paint looks original, body panels are good, Chrome is good, Glass is good. Floors seem solid throughout the interior and trunk no holes or weak parts. This car is a real 55,000 mile car and it shows. Someone took care of it and kept it inside for a long time. The rocker panels are rusty, some small rust spots underneath the tail lights and bubbles showing on the side of the roof. I've gotten the brake lights to work for about 30 seconds, the switch needs to be changed and I have it. The brakes work fine, it is drive-able or could be loaded on a trailer. The frame is solid with just surface rust. Someone customized it years ago with pinstriping, cutlass seats, shift kit on the floor, the 302, and little dice accents. This has the more rare electric windshield wipers, bumper extensions and power brakes, was a 292 car. Good tires and rims, headlights and running lights work, gauges work but are not calibrated also has after market oil, volt gauges that work. Doors and trunk close perfectly and hood too if you remember to push the release back in. Very fun to drive and gets lots of attention. For sale locally as well, can be seen during the day weekdays. This is a NO RESERVE auction starting at $3500.
