Vehicle Detail
1987 Porsche 944, This is a nice red 944 with turbo rims, it is taxed, clear titled, and currently registered with new plates. I have done a complete service on this car and it has had a brand new Contitech timing belt replacement just installed. I have used this car to get me back and forth to work and it hasn't skipped a beat! It also gets great gas mileage...I average about 30 mpg and it has the classic Porsche raspy snarl exhaust note. The transmission is a little sensitive but will go through the gears just fine. I also just installed a new set of Hankook Ventus V12 tires. Feel free to give me a call at (281) 797-8021 for more information. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere on a whims notice. you can find an entire photo album of this car here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.502306243116151.127003.100000103393600&type=3&l=cdd635f413 About 145200 miles showing on the odometerBrand new Hankook Ventus V12 tires just installedAlignmentNew Contitech timing belt replacement kit installedgood fluidsgreat mpg The car has no rust and is cosmetically very nice for it's age. Is it using oil? BTW what is the color code for this vehicle? Is it the Guards Red or your pictures look more like the Garnet Red Metallic? I have not noticed any fluid leaks coming from the car at all. To be very honest, the car has been really reliable for me and It hasn't lost any oil since I have owned it. As far as the paint goes, it has a few blemishes here and there and has probably been repainted somewhere down the line. I think the color is supposed to be Guards Red but honestly looks a little more like Ferrari Red with less orange and more of a true red. If the color of the car is very important to you, I would be more than happy to take some additional photos of the car in all different kinds of light so you could get a better feel if you would like me to. As stated in the auction terms, please ask any questions about the cars actual condition before placing a bid...I would be absolutely more than happy to answer any questions that you might have or arrange a time to see the car in person if you would like. 2.The CarFax shows little driving of the vehicle in the last few years. Has this vehicle been stored for a long period of time? It appears it was not driven more than ~100 per year for a while? Also the CarFax shows a loan/lien on the vehicle. Can you explain this?Regarding the car's mileage, there are two contributing factors that could explain the mileage. The person I bought the car from stored the car in his driveway un-driven for a number of years before I came along. When I purchased the car, the tires were dry rotted and the paint needed quite a good buff and polish, as well as this is why the interior looks tatty. Also, the odometer on the car only works sporadically and I don't believe it to display the cars actual miles. I believe the car has many more miles on it than 145,200 because of the odometer being finicky but I have no way of confirming that, I would have to contact the previous owners. As far as the lien goes, this is something the previous owner had on the car and I had to get it released in order to get the title in my name. I have all documentation that proves there is no lien on the car as well as a clear title in my name. As stated in the auction terms, please ask any questions about the cars actual condition before placing a bid...I really want to be as upfront and honest about the car's condition as I can and I would be absolutely more than happy to answer any questions that you might have or arrange a time to see the car in person if you would like. 3.Does the air conditioning work? The air conditioning system works and cycles properly but it is not blowing any cold air, it needs a charge. I think the gas probably leaked out over a period of years. I mainly drive the car with the sunroof off and the windows down so I never really have the need...the heater works very well though. As stated in the auction terms, please ask any questions about the cars actual condition before placing a bid...I would be absolutely more than happy to answer any additional questions that you might have or arrange a time to see the car in person if you would like.
