Vehicle Detail

1975 BMW 2002 Weber carburetor, sunroof, modern stereo ... a great driver at a great price! View a slideshow of all images For sale is a 1975 BMW 2002 with four speed manual transmission, weber carburetor, sunroof and a killer stereo system. I need to sell this to make room for another car I just bought. Always garaged, this BMW is in great condition and gets looks and compliments wherever it goes. Mechanically, this BMW is in excellent condition. It drives great both in the city and on the highway, the brakes are solid and there are no issues with the transmission. At the time of this listing the odometer reads 80,258, but without a hundred thousand place exact mileage can't be determined. Given its age, I would assume the odometer has rolled over at least once. Loads of repair receipts dating back to 2002 will be included, but as a quick reference here is a breakdown of some significant work done and date performed: Date Description 11/05/2007 New rear window weatherstrip 03/03/2010 New tires (at 73,222 miles) 03/23/2011 Repaint 07/26/2012 New cylinder head gasket 08/17/2012 New battery 08/21/2012 New brake drums and shoes Overall, the body is beautiful and the interior is clean with nice carpet. The car was repainted red from the original malaga in 2011. Other features include a Kenwood stereo system with USB and auxiliary inputs, a 6-disc CD changer, Alpine amplifiers and Kenwood subwoofer; sunroof; and a Behr A/C unit (needs charging). As is clearly visible in the photos below and on flickr, Ive done the best I can to document every blemish, and will gladly provide additional photos upon request. That said, it still holds its own next to other 2002s, and has proven itself to be a great daily driver. Click on any photo below to enlarge, or view the complete set on flickr. This classic was repainted last spring, and presents very well. There is a small plastic piece missing from the right grill, visible in the photo above. Paint chips visible in both the driver and passenger doors. The left license plate light housing is broken, otherwise the rear of the car is solid and clean. Steering column, center console and gauges, all in working order. There is a nice and sporty Momo steering wheel, but I also have the original BMW steering wheel which I will include. Included is a plush dash cover, but here is the dash without the cover so you can see the cracks underneath. The interior of the car is nice, with no tears or holes in the headliner. The sunroof is functional, but only opens about 80% of the way and could definitely use an adjustment. Engine compartment with Weber carburetor. The trunk is very clean, and has two Alpine power amplifiers (a 4-channel and mono), and a killer Kenwood sub woofer.
