Hi, I am selling my 1948 Ford Fordor Sedan. This car is a project that will make a great car once completed. I have and can provide over $3000 in receipts on parts/upholstery work alone not including the value of the car itself. I unfortunately need to sell this car to raise money to build my first home. My Reserve Price is far lower than what I have into the car, so whoever wins this auction will be getting a great deal. It could easily be put back to original or update it with modern running gear.It is as close to rust free as you can get with only minor surface rust in areas. Very solid car! Originally came from the desert areas of California. Much of the body work has already been taken care of and is GOOD WORK, not any shade tree kind of stuff. The doors have all been straightened and primed, only needing a final block and final sand to be ready for paint as was the trunk lid, rear fenders, and hood. Will look great and straight once painted. The only body work left is the front fenders, front valance piece, and top. There was NO RUST REPAIR needed on any of these panels. The wheels were sandblasted and repainted "Autumn Chestnut" and have new chrome lugnuts all the way around. Can provide a paint number if you wish to finish the car in this color.Front and rear seats were completely rebuilt from the springs up and re-upholstered and are show quality. Very nice! Brand new (still in box) Painless Wiring Harness comes with the car to re-wire.Brand new chrome Ford Hubcaps correct for year of carAll new brake parts have been installed along with various wheel bearings, shock links, master cylinder, etc. All included!New tires with zero miles on themSome flathead parts come with the car including exhaust manifolds, carburetor, oil filter, etc.. Will also throw in a working C4 Auto if interested to help you convert the car over to modern running gear. Just let me know.The car is pretty complete and any parts taken off the car have been marked to stay organized. It will need some new running boards (found on Ebay) and a fuel tank (Drake Reproductions), but other than that is mostly complete. Even many of the moldings are in great shape. If you're interested in this type of old car, this is the car to get as you couldn't get all the parts I have purchased for it for even close to my Reserve Price as it is only a bit higher than what I paid for the upholstery work alone!
