My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of buying your next vehicle. I sell mostly vehicles traded at larger dealerships and expired units from retail dealerships. I personally road test each unit before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how each vehicle runs and drives. Please keep in mind as you read this description that I am neither a mechanic nor do I operate a full service facility. Please take the time to read this entire description carefully, read my terms & conditions and examine each of the photos closely BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Lincoln Town Car Signature Edition. The Lincoln Town Car has a long standing reputation as a reliable and luxurious vehicle that is known around the world. Part of what makes the Town Car such a relible and long lasting vehicle is that is shares its chassis, engine and transmission with the Ford Crown Victoria which is the vehicle of choice for Police vehicles and Taxi Cabs because of thier rugged construction and longevity. It's no wonder that it is not unusual to see Town Cars with close to half a million miles on them! I would rate the exterior condition of this Town Car to be BELOW AVERAGE for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this car photographs very well and looks great in person, too. This car is what I would call a ten footer. Once you get up close, you can see flaws in the paint on the hood, roof and trunk. It looks like an older repaint. Please check out the photos very closely. This car is finished in very desirable black on black with chrome rockers which make this a good looking car. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The windshield molding isn't perfect but does not leak. The drivers door appears to have a little sag which makes it rub at the top. The alloy wheels look good and are wrapped in decent rubber all around. I would also rate the interior of this Town Car to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for the mileage of this unit. The drivers door sticks a little due to the aforementioned sag. The door panels are a little loose which is a common Lincoln issue of this era. The carpets are clean and show well for their age. The seats also show well and are not torn. The headliner is clean and tight. The one access panel is missing at the rear of the headliner. Both front seats are power operated and work properly. The drivers window does not go down. It tries...but doesn't move more than a half inch. The other three windows work properly. The power mirrors work properly as do the locks. The sunroof switch is loose but operable. The sunroof opens, closes and tilts as it should. The stereo is the original premium equipment which is working properly. There is a full set of books in the glove compartment. The climate control is fully automatic and responds properly to imputs. The air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold. There are steering wheel controls for both the audio, cruise and climate. The trunk is spacious as you'd expect on a full sized luxury vehicle. Mechanically, this Town Car appears to be in good running and driving condition. The bullet proof 4.6L V8 engine starts easily and purrs like a kitten. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. There was a check engine light on for the idle air temp sensor. I replaced the sensor b/c it was only $12 and I haven't seen the light since. The engine always keeps proper temperature. The troublesome air suspension on this Town Car has been replaced with coil springs so that will never be an issue again. The suspension feels tight and this car rides like it should. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes feel fine. The engine makes plenty of power so accelleration is effortless. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and smoothly. I've had this car for some time. I parked it behind my building because someone from Michigan put a deposit on it. I never heard from them again and I actually forgot about the car until a week ago when I walked around back and saw it sitting there. I put a new battery in her and she fired right up and ran smooth as silk from a dry start. The odometer on this Lincoln reads 81,XXX miles and it is a digital instrument cluster. The condition of this car is not consistant with an 81k mile car. Any vehicle, at least in PA, that is older than ten model years old is exempt from odometer disclosure by law. The title on this unit reads "exempt". I'm going to assume that those are not the actual miles on the vehicle. Anything is possible. It could have sat for a while due to poor health of the owner...which would explain the condition as I see more "age" than "wear" on this one. It is also possible that the instrument cluster was replaced at some time in the past and this is not the actual mileage on this unit. All I can do is let you know what I know...and how the car runs and drives. I buy and sell several of these per year. I've seen higher mileage ones in better shape than this. I've seen lower mile ones in worse shape. My goal is to set accurate expectations for my buyers because I sell everything "as-is" and "as-traded". Sometimes, I get ones that are a little complicated. Accepted Payment Methods: Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of buying your next vehicle. I sell mostly vehicles traded at larger dealerships and expired units from retail dealerships. I personally road test each unit before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how each vehicle runs and drives. Please keep in mind as you read this description that I am neither a mechanic nor do I operate a full service facility. Please take the time to read this entire description carefully, read my terms & conditions and examine each of the photos closely BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Lincoln Town Car Signature Edition. The Lincoln Town Car has a long standing reputation as a reliable and luxurious vehicle that is known around the world. Part of what makes the Town Car such a relible and long lasting vehicle is that is shares its chassis, engine and transmission with the Ford Crown Victoria which is the vehicle of choice for Police vehicles and Taxi Cabs because of thier rugged construction and longevity. It's no wonder that it is not unusual to see Town Cars with close to half a million miles on them! I would rate the exterior condition of this Town Car to be BELOW AVERAGE for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this car photographs very well and looks great in person, too. This car is what I would call a ten footer. Once you get up close, you can see flaws in the paint on the hood, roof and trunk. It looks like an older repaint. Please check out the photos very closely. This car is finished in very desirable black on black with chrome rockers which make this a good looking car. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The windshield molding isn't perfect but does not leak. The drivers door appears to have a little sag which makes it rub at the top. The alloy wheels look good and are wrapped in decent rubber all around.
I would also rate the interior of this Town Car to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for the mileage of this unit. The drivers door sticks a little due to the aforementioned sag. The door panels are a little loose which is a common Lincoln issue of this era. The carpets are clean and show well for their age. The seats also show well and are not torn. The headliner is clean and tight. The one access panel is missing at the rear of the headliner. Both front seats are power operated and work properly. The drivers window does not go down. It tries...but doesn't move more than a half inch. The other three windows work properly. The power mirrors work properly as do the locks. The sunroof switch is loose but operable. The sunroof opens, closes and tilts as it should. The stereo is the original premium equipment which is working properly. There is a full set of books in the glove compartment. The climate control is fully automatic and responds properly to imputs. The air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold. There are steering wheel controls for both the audio, cruise and climate. The trunk is spacious as you'd expect on a full sized luxury vehicle.
Mechanically, this Town Car appears to be in good running and driving condition. The bullet proof 4.6L V8 engine starts easily and purrs like a kitten. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. There was a check engine light on for the idle air temp sensor. I replaced the sensor b/c it was only $12 and I haven't seen the light since. The engine always keeps proper temperature. The troublesome air suspension on this Town Car has been replaced with coil springs so that will never be an issue again. The suspension feels tight and this car rides like it should. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes feel fine. The engine makes plenty of power so accelleration is effortless. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and smoothly. I've had this car for some time. I parked it behind my building because someone from Michigan put a deposit on it. I never heard from them again and I actually forgot about the car until a week ago when I walked around back and saw it sitting there. I put a new battery in her and she fired right up and ran smooth as silk from a dry start.
The odometer on this Lincoln reads 81,XXX miles and it is a digital instrument cluster. The condition of this car is not consistant with an 81k mile car. Any vehicle, at least in PA, that is older than ten model years old is exempt from odometer disclosure by law. The title on this unit reads "exempt". I'm going to assume that those are not the actual miles on the vehicle. Anything is possible. It could have sat for a while due to poor health of the owner...which would explain the condition as I see more "age" than "wear" on this one. It is also possible that the instrument cluster was replaced at some time in the past and this is not the actual mileage on this unit. All I can do is let you know what I know...and how the car runs and drives. I buy and sell several of these per year. I've seen higher mileage ones in better shape than this. I've seen lower mile ones in worse shape. My goal is to set accurate expectations for my buyers because I sell everything "as-is" and "as-traded". Sometimes, I get ones that are a little complicated. Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomidating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you may show up and no one is here.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
