I want you to know exactly what you are buying so you can bid with confidence. Up for auction with NO RESERVE is a 1997 Cherokee Sport 2 door SUV. The uncommon 2-door Cherokees are very sought after. The Cherokee is a very capable 4x4 with decent out of the box off road capability, yet it is still well mannered and easy to drive on the street. A Cherokee will treat you well sun or snow on the highway, around town, or in the woods. The exterior of this Jeep is in good condition. It has the normal blemishes from regular use and it appears to have seen a bit of light off road action (see pics). The royal blue paint is a little dull and has some light scratches, but should shine up well with buffing and detailing. The brush guard on the front is not just a cosmetic piece. As you can see in the pictures, it took a bump and prevented any damage to the bumper or grille. The alloy wheels are in good condition and have a matching 5th wheel as a full size spare. The rear tires have passable, but worn tread. The fronts are good and deep. The tan interior of this Cherokee is in better than average condition. The bolstered front seats are comfortable and presentable. The rear seat looks good and folds flat to give a large cargo area for a small SUV. The door panels and dash are firmly attached and show well. This Jeep is wired with an aftermarket alarm system, I do not have the remote. The power windows and mirrors adjust easily. The climate controls do not function correctly, it only blows on the defrost setting. The factory Infinity stereo has been upgraded with a high end Alpine head unit with CD, MP3, and iPod inputs. There is also a controller for a matching Alpine CD changer. It powers on, but does not play and I cannot locate a changer unit, it may have been removed. There is wiring for an amplifier and subwoofer. This Cherokee has the indestructable Jeep 4.0L straight six engine. This Jeep drives well on the road and makes good power. It idles a little rough and has some belt noise, a tune-up should straighten it right out. There are no check engine lights. There is an ABS malfunction light and the brakes do not automatically pulse. This does not affect braking distance, the brakes default to traditional non-ABS function. The transmission shifts well. The Command Trac four wheel drive has been tested and works properly. The suspesion is in average condition for the age and miles. All Jeeps start to get some play and noise as they age. The steering is neutral and easy. The brakes stop the truck easily. Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 administrative fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any transfer costs incurred by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
