Vehicle Detail
Condition: Runs well. Shifts well. Overall good condition for age and mileage. Paint is original except for a few repair spots. New paint would make this old truck stand out. Strong points are very nice original grille and front bumper. Very clean original interior except original seat covering is bad and has been covered with a slip on cover. Gauges are working and readable, but lens is cloudy. Floor pan has rust through, but has been patched, not a weld-in replacement. Body has some rust through on rear cab corner, cab mounts, and rear fenders. Rear fender rust has been repaired with panels, but work was not done well and needs further attention. Inside of bed not all dented up. Some original paint is worn off bed floor, but no rust. Nice straight original rear step bumper. Tires hold air, and show no significant age cracks, but tread depth is shallow so new tires will be in order before too long. Actual oil consumption is unknown due to relatively little use in recent years. Not excessive. Believed to be typical for '70's engine in fair condition. Features: Except for automatic transmission this is a base level truck. No power or air conditioning. History: Current owner, my father, purchased this truck used in September of 1975. It has never been wrecked. It has been well maintained with oil usually changed every 2000 miles. The engine was upgraded from 240 to 300 cubic inches at about 96,000 miles. The larger engine was used with low miles, but that figure is not remembered. Shipping: Personal pickup is preferred. If shipping is desired, it is at buyer's expense, and buyer must make all shipping arrangements including for payment of balance. Payment: $200 down by PayPal within 72 hours of auction win. Balance due in greenbacks at time of pickup
