Vehicle Detail
LOW RESERVE !!! You are bidding on a rare 1960 Buick LeSabre four door hardtop. The car has a V-8 engine, automatic transmission, Tri-Shield Logos (were a first in 1960 and are still in use by Buick today), horizontal headlights, concave grill, Vent-i-port emblems, MiraMatic spedometer and 2 spoke steering wheel. The interior of the car is in very nice condition as is the exterior of the car as well. I got the car from an old man. It was stored in his barn in Crown Point, Indiana. The car starts, runs, drives and stops and I just changed all the fluids and gave it a fresh full service oil change but the fan belts are very old and starting to frey and the tires all hold air fine but do have some dry rot. I would recommend changing all of the hoses, fan belts, tires, etc. before taking the vehicle on a long trip. It's a 12 volt system... the clock works too and still keeps perfect time. I don't have a key for the trunk so I have no idea if there is anything in there or not. The interior and the body of the car are very solid. All of the chrome, stainless, knobs, buttons, etc. are all there. It is really a complete car. There is a dent in the back bumper and I am sure its due to the unusual gear selector setup Buick had in 1960, someone thought they had it in drive and really had it in reverse and probably backed into a pole or something. Other than that, the body is in very nice condition. The frame on the driver's side has rust thru, it doesn't effect how the car handles or drives, but it would need to be repaired or replaced if the car was going to be restored back to original condition. I have a clean title in hand, (no liens) ready to go. Since the old man lost the keys to the car, I put a remote ignition switch under the dash to start the car, it works just like a regular ignition. A locksmith might be able to make you a key for the ignition and the trunk? My reserve is set low and the car is priced to sell. Please only bid if you have all funds in order, serious bidders only. If you have any questions, please use the "ask a seller a question" feature and I will respond as soon as possible. Thank you, Scott
