Vehicle Detail
Here is my 1987 Toyota 4Runner with the bullet proof 22RE fuel injected engine. up for offer to a good home. I originally purchased this truck on ebay from a seller in Texas four years ago and it has been a great, reliable truck for me. I drove it from Texas to Chicago and a few months later to Florida where it has been for the past three plus years. I just purchased a Tacoma double cab (my eighth toyota truck) so it's time for this one to move on to a new owner. This is a solid rust-free truck and has been kept in the dry southern climate. The truck has all of its original paint. No accidents or rust! All of the VIN tags are on the original body panels. The truck is now 25 years old. It is in Excellent condition for its age, but is not perfect and does have its share of minor dings and chips. There is some fading on the hood, roof and top of the tailgate, but all of the other panels are glossy as new. The factory stickers have been removed from the hood and back sides by the previous owner, but can be seen very clearly as if they were painted on where the stickers used to be. Original stickers are still on the front sides. There is a Sony CD deck with USB port and MP3 plug with detachable faceplate and remote that comes with the truck. Also a set of 32" tires and American Racing wheels that were on the truck when I bought it. The previous owner replaced the head with a performance cam and timing chain at 180,000 mi. and put a Pace Setter header on it as well as lifting the suspension 1" to clear 32" tires. The exhaust sounds throaty because of the header even with the stock muffler, but not obnoxious. The truck has always had a little rough idle, but accelerates with alot of pick-up, cruises at 75 mph no problem. 18 months ago I put a set of 15" x 8" Pro Comp Wheels and 33" x 12.5" BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM2's on the truck and added a 2" body lift. The truck has a 3" lift overall and the tires never rub. If you look at the pictures you will see the little nubs and new tread on the tires as I have only put a little over 4,000 miles since they were new. I put a cold weather, high torque starter on three years ago and just put a new battery in two months ago. Just replaced the water pump, belts and air flow meter. The truck has A/C but it was not hooked up when I purchased it and I never needed it, so it's all there, but the belt is not hooked up to the compressor. Drivers seat has a small tear area in the center of the seat and some paint on the seat back. There is some minor surface rust in both drain channels above the driver and passenger windows (barely noticable). I have only removed the top once and the seals are still in great shape-no leaks. The rear window works from in and outside of the truck. I have always had stick shift trucks prior to this one, but couldn't find any that were in decent shape. I can honestly say that I now prefer the automatic for driving anywhere. You can switch to power mode and the engine rev's higher between gears, however I drive it in normal mode most of the time. I have never off-roaded the truck but have driven on to the beach a couple of times. It has been my daily driver so I wanted to keep it in great condition. I have taken pictures of everything I could think of, but let me know if you need to see anything else. Any and all inspections are welcome during the auction, not after. You are bidding to own, so once the bidding is over you are the new owner. Please have all necessary funds and permission available to purchase this vehicle. The buyer is responsible for arranging and paying all the shipping details. I will be more than happy to deliver the truck to a local shipping outfit (within 20 miles) or working with you to arrange a pick up here in Florida.
