Vehicle Detail
There is no title included in this sale, you have to put something in the box but, no title available. This car is a mix of parts that I had in storage, so over the last 3 years I built a fun little hot rod out of them. I have been driving this car for the last couple months but it does need some work to be a reliable everyday runner. First off here is a break down of what is included on the car and what was used to build it: -1929 Willy's Whippet Sport coupe body -Started with a stock Model A Ford Frame -1949 Mercury 8CM Engine (Yes it has a Merc Crank in it)-Edelbrock Super Dual Intake-Ford 94 Carburetors-Offy offset generator bracket-New gasket set, new water pumps, new plugs and wires, new cap and rotor-Speedway wire looms-New Lokar Dipstick -1946 Ford 3 speed manual transmission, side shift, Hurst Shifter, new clutch disk, old pressure plate-Closed Torque tube drive shaft (shortened)-Banjo rear from a 37'-38' Ford Pickup, new gaskets in it as well, good gears, roadworthy ratio -Ford Wide five drums and wheels at all 4 corners-Brand new Nanco 16" tires on all four wheels-New 39' style brakes on the rear and new 46' style brakes on the front-New speedway brake kit with a new early ford style master cylinder-Early Chevy pedals -New Monroe shocks all around-F1 Front shock mounts-Split Model A wishbones-New Posies Reverse Eye Front Spring-Stock Drop I-Beam Front axle-Stock 37' rear spring-Cowl Steering/shortened 46' Ford Truck column and 46' Ford steering box-Ford Model A Steering Wheel -Stewart Warner Guages-Speedway 12 circuit wire harness-Speedway poly 8 gallon tank-Brand new 6volt battery-New Speedway turn signal lever So the car is a driver but, the wiring needs to be finished. You have to use the starter button on the solenoid to crank the engine but, the key on the dash kills the power. The car still runs 6 volt. It has a 6 volt electric fuel pump with a separate switch on the dash. The engine came from an old farm truck so it has some blow by. It could use a set of rings but runs very strong. The dual carbs was probably overkill but they both work and have been rebuilt. I tore the engine down, spent two days cleaning the scale out of the water jackets in the block and heads. It never goes over 180 degrees when driving it. The radiator was gone through at a shop but it still leaks. It runs the original fan and the water pumps are new from Napa. It is running straight off the exhaust manifolds now, pipes will need to be run. I put all new metal structure in the body, reversed the firewall and built a new decklid and lower rear panel. I am not a craftsman by any standards so the sheetmetal work is crude, but solid and ok looking. The doors are welded shut and there is no lexan or glass in the windshield. If you are over 6 foot this car would be hard for you to drive without making some modifications. My plan was to put padded vinyl work around the top like a convertible would have and on the tops of the doors but, I just don't have time. I will help with loading for shipping, but you need to set up the shipping. There will be a bill of sale included but no title. Thanks and good luck.On Aug-05-12 at 06:14:11 PDT, seller added the following information: I will consider a trade on the following items: -1932 Ford Frame -A fiberglass 32' Ford 3 window body-A running, riding Shovelhead bike-1961-64 Ford Galaxy (Running)-Running fish/ski boat-A pair of running Jet Skis or Waverunners-A good running, clean motorhome prefer chevy or ford.
