PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION, READ MY TERMS & CONDITIONS and REVIEW EACH OF THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY before bidding or asking questions. Each vehicle I sell is road tested before being offered for sale so I can tell you first hand how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am basically a wholesaler, not a mechanic or retail dealer. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Ford F250 XL 4x4 with a Lancaster Utility Body. This truck is fresh out of service from the State of PA Department of Conservation. This vehicle was owned, operated and MAINTAINED by the State of Pennsylvania since new. I would rate the exterior condition of this F250 to be AVERAGE for an older work truck. The white paint looks fine but isn't perfect. On the utility bed, there is usual rust on the outside and in the bed with a few small holes visible in the bed. The bottom of the rear cabinets are both gone...typical of not having mud flaps to protect the floors of the cabinets from rocks picked up by the tires. You'll need to have someone weld or fasten new sheet metal floors to the bottoms of all of the lower cabinets which shouldn't cost more than $300 if I had to guess. Each piece is roughly 12"x20". The cab of the truck looks pretty good. Only minor rust is visible under the doors. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The right mirror is missing. The steel wheels show well and the matching Goodyear tires are nearly new all around. There is a trailer hitch at the rear for towing. The right mirror is missing. All in all, she isn't in bad shape for the age and miles. I would rate the interior of this truck to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of a work truck. The interior is pretty minimal. The bench seat has an obvious rip in it. I do have part of the missing piece. The heater works well. The radio works well. A full set of manuals is included as well as multiple keys. Not much to say about the interior of a work truck. Mechanically, this truck appears to be in good running condition. The 351ci V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The one obvious advantage to purchasing a retired state vehicle is the piece of mind that it has been properly serviced throughout its life. This truck comes with some recent service records, too. The exhaust is new, as are the tires and a few other parts over the last year. The oil pressure gauge does not work, which is normal for an older Ford truck. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. The suspension feels nice and tight. The brakes stop this big truck with no issues. Out on the road, she cruises pretty well for an older truck. The engine keeps normal temperature. The check engine light comes and goes. The engine makes good power. This truck is PA safety and emissions inspected through the end of this year. If you're looking for new, this isn't it. If you need a reliable truck for work, buying one that has been government owned and maintained makes a lot of sense. We've had this truck around using it here and there for a few months and it has proven to be very reliable for us. I just used it to move a hot tub last week. The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgement solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomidating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you may show up and no one is here.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, each bidder enters into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should they be the successful bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully excercized their ability to complete any diligence needed prior to placing their bid.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 administrative fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any transfer costs incurred by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
