Vehicle Detail
Up for bids is a 1974 Porsche 911 Coupe. The car is finished in Classic Grand Prix White with lobster red interior. The car has had a cosmetic restoration in the last couple of years, but still retains its original carpet and interior with the exception of a new headliner, front seat covers, and dash cap. The interior looks fanatstic in this color combo. The car will come with the original steering wheel, which I will have swapped out. The exterior has had a high quality "glass out, panels off" repaint, and looks fantastic. The only thing not original to the exterior is the original 15 inch fuchs have been replaced with 16 inch, and some time over the course of its life the rear bumper was swapped for a ROW style. This is a non-sunroof chassis. This is a three owner car, with all the original paper work, manuals, tools, and window sticker!!! The car has every service reciept, and even bill of sales from when the car changed hands. "TONS, TONS, TONS OF PAPER WORK" Paper work is a story in itself, if only this car could talk. The car originally sold for $11,655.25 The car was optioned as follows..5-speed gearbox, option group K22, opening side windows, 88amp HO battery, Black Porsche side lettering, retractable antenna, tinted glass. The car was originally fitted with AC, but has been removed. I do have the the components to reinstall if needed. Mechanically the car runs great. The engine was rebuilt back in 1986 and has only aquired 30k miles since then. It was updated with carrera tensioners, and pop off valve at the time. The gear box is tight and shifts fine, the first to second shift must be done with finesse or it grinds slightly "typical of an older 915". The car does have a small oil leak from the valve covers but it is very minimal. Only know defects are the small oil leak, and curb rash on the right rear wheel, which is shown in the pictures. The car has had brand to tires fitted with less than 300 miles on them. If you have any questions please contact me through ebay, or call Matt at (919)649-5597 I have attached a video via YouTube.
