My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of buying a vehicle. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind as you read this description that I am neither a mechanic nor do I operate a full service facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each of the photos carefully. Most of the questions I receive are aleady answered within the following description. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD. The Toyota 4Runner has an excellent reputation as a rugged and reliable sport utility and this example appears to be no exception. I would rate the exterior of this 4Runner to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking truck. The dark red finish shines great and looks good from every angle. The only rust I could find on the body of this 4Runner is a little on the bottom of the tail gate and some pitting on the rear bumper as shown in the photos. This 4Runner is in better condition than most I see of similar age. Otherwise, there is no damage to report on this truck. The original VIN tags are all in place. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. This truck comes with a heavy duty trailer hitch, too. The alloy wheels look good and are wrapped in a matching set of Yokahama Geolanders which don't look to me more than a few months old. You can tell a lot about how a car was taken care of by the tires on it...and Geolanders are NOT cheap tires. I would rate the interior condition of this 4Runner to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels are all clean and tight. The floor mats appear to be original and show appropriate wear but the carpets under them are clean. The seats show very well and are in great condition for their age. The cargo area shows typical wear but nothing bad...and is very spacious. The headliner is also clean. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all appear to be in proper working condition. The stereo has been upgraded to a Sony CD player which I'm having trouble figuring out how to get it to tune...but it does power up properly and appear to work. The climate control system appears to be in good working condition. The air conditioner blows ice cold air. The original owners manual is included as well as three keys. Mechanically, there isn't much to say about a 4Runner. The 3.4L V6 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. I've driven this vehicle for several days and it has excellent road manners. The suspension feels tight. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes do an excellent job at stopping this truck. The engine makes good power and accelleration is a breeze. Out on the highway, she drives nice and strait. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. The engine keeps proper temperature at all times. I have not seen any warning lights. Overall, this is one of the nicer 4Runners I've seen in a while. Several years ago, I owned a truck nearly identical to this as my personal vehicle that I purchased as a certified pre-owned from the local Toyota dealer where I lived. Accepted Payment Methods: Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw. Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later. All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day. Bid Retractions/Changes: I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD. The Toyota 4Runner has an excellent reputation as a rugged and reliable sport utility and this example appears to be no exception. I would rate the exterior of this 4Runner to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking truck. The dark red finish shines great and looks good from every angle. The only rust I could find on the body of this 4Runner is a little on the bottom of the tail gate and some pitting on the rear bumper as shown in the photos. This 4Runner is in better condition than most I see of similar age. Otherwise, there is no damage to report on this truck. The original VIN tags are all in place. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. This truck comes with a heavy duty trailer hitch, too. The alloy wheels look good and are wrapped in a matching set of Yokahama Geolanders which don't look to me more than a few months old. You can tell a lot about how a car was taken care of by the tires on it...and Geolanders are NOT cheap tires.
I would rate the interior condition of this 4Runner to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels are all clean and tight. The floor mats appear to be original and show appropriate wear but the carpets under them are clean. The seats show very well and are in great condition for their age. The cargo area shows typical wear but nothing bad...and is very spacious. The headliner is also clean. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all appear to be in proper working condition. The stereo has been upgraded to a Sony CD player which I'm having trouble figuring out how to get it to tune...but it does power up properly and appear to work. The climate control system appears to be in good working condition. The air conditioner blows ice cold air. The original owners manual is included as well as three keys.
Mechanically, there isn't much to say about a 4Runner. The 3.4L V6 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. I've driven this vehicle for several days and it has excellent road manners. The suspension feels tight. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes do an excellent job at stopping this truck. The engine makes good power and accelleration is a breeze. Out on the highway, she drives nice and strait. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. The engine keeps proper temperature at all times. I have not seen any warning lights. Overall, this is one of the nicer 4Runners I've seen in a while. Several years ago, I owned a truck nearly identical to this as my personal vehicle that I purchased as a certified pre-owned from the local Toyota dealer where I lived. Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomidating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you may show up and no one is here.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, each bidder enters into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should they be the successful bidder. Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 administrative fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any transfer costs incurred by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
