I have a 1962 Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster and there was only 1,427 made and "I have the build sheet"! I bought the car from an estate sale and the owner started to restore the Roadster. He had removed the engine, transmission, front fenders, the hood and seats. The car engine is a Z Code 390 with an auto transmission. The head castings # is C1AE, the block # is 66 427, the intake is a # C2AE 9425C and, another intake was in the garage #C9AE 9425-B (I am not certain that this is the orginal engine). The dash of the Roadster is badly cracked, but he had taken a good dash out of another Thunderbird. The body of this rare find is very solid and straight. There are a few small rust holes, one is in the driver's side floor under the seat and the other one is in the trunk of the Roadster. The under carriage of the Thunderbird has some surface rust, the rear inner fender has two small rust holes. The right side rear quarter panel has two small rust areas. The door, hood, front fenders, trunk lid, and the fiberglass tonneau are in great shape. The rear bumper has rust holes clear through on both sides of tail lights. The front bumper has one small dent, but is in good condition. The convertible assembly looks to be in good condition. There are some small dents on a few pieces of the chrome trim. The right side chrome trim on the front fender is missing in the picture, but I do have it and it is in good condition. I also have new chrome pieces for the inside of the windshield sides and top. Their of a few pieces of the Roadster that I have been unable to locate, the hood latch, the radiator shroud, and there could be other small parts that I am uncertain about. I have a Volume 11 Illustrations Book of 1958 - 1966 Thunderbird Parts "T-Bird Sancturary", and a 1961 - 1963 Convertiable Top Maintenance, Diagnosis, and Light Repair Book that is included with this rare find. This 1962 Ford T-Bird Sports Roadster has been garage kept since 1974 and is a great find! It is a true classic!!!
