The car is being relisted due to scammers 1979 MGB Roadster: Moving out of state and down sizing so must sell my unfinished project. (The engine is running and the car moves under its own power but requires a full tune up, timing and carb adjustment before it is ready for the road). The engine has been rebuilt with the following work and new parts: Engine block :- Cylinders machined to +.040, decked New parts: - Pistons and rings +.040, Thrust washers, main bearings, rod bearings, timing chain, tensioned assembly, oil pump, water pump, all gaskets and oil seals, cylinder head studs, valves and valve guides, thermostat, clutch, pressure plate and thrust bearing. Other new parts: Ignition coil, HT leads, starter motor, rear brake shoes, adjuster assembly, brake cylinders, front brake disc pads. The body work, is generally good (floor is very solid), it has one rust spot on the passenger door (see photo). Paint work has some chips but is an 8/10 overall. Interior needs some TLC ( center consol are rest needs replacement and the top of the dashtop cover has cracks. Vinyl top and Top Frame cover are all in very good condition. 5 very good tires. Headlight electrics need attention as they are tempermental. The car comes with the additional parts:- Hard top (requires refurbishment but is solid), Weber Downdraft Carb kit, Front brake rotors (new and unused), various workshop manuals Car is currently on a PA antique vehicle plate. Buyer must collect.
