Vehicle Detail
I am listing a 1954 Hudson Hornet that I have owned for almost ten years now. The only reason that I am selling this car is because I have made a deal on a 1947 Hudson Pickup and I have always dreamed of owning a Hudson pickup. This car has had a substantial amount of money thrown at it over the last ten years. It started out as a stock 308 powered hornet with a hydramatic. After the engine went south I paid a local mechanic to install a camaro subframe and shortly thereafter he disappeared with the car. I was able to locate the car after a couple of years and brought it back to my shop where I begin to install a 5.3 LS based motor out of a tahoe. This motor had about 100,000 miles on it when I began to install it the car is currently not running but could be with a minimum amount of work. There is some rust on the body as is normal with Hudson's of this vintage however the perimeter frame is solid and all of the glass is good except for one of the rear wing windows. I have a clear Texas title in my name, over the last ten years I have spent well over $10,000 on this car and somewhere around 4,000 in the last six months alone. I would not be selling this car if I had not found my pickup, please feel free to email me with any questions that you may have. In the pictures I have the hood just sitting on the car as I had it removed due to removing and reinstalling the engine, I also have all of the chrome for the front end and the chrome trim, some of the chrome is not usable but some of it is. I will post some additional pictures in the next day or two. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Work Completed:1. Engine installed 2. Transmission installed 3. Custom made driveshaft installed 4. Wiring harness has been modified and is on the engine, it needs to be connected to the car and cleaned up. 5. Front clip installed.6. Camaro dual master cylinder installed. 7. Brakes plumbed into the rear axle and the drivers side of the front.8. The car was soda blasted about seven years ago.9. Acid etch primer applied after the soda blasting.10. The drivers side rocker panel was removed and sent to a shop to have a new left and right one made, I will give you the contact info however I will not be paying for the new panel.11. Fuel tank has a Tanks Inc. in tank fuel pump installed the tank will need to be reinstalled and lines run to the engine.12. ECM has been programmed. Work needed to be completed.1. Run fuel lines2. Install camaro column.3. Run brake line to right front wheel.4. Reinstall fuel tank.5. Reinstall front chrome grille and bumpers.6. Finish engine wiring to the car.7. Install supplied transmission shifter.8. Supply and install radiator. This car is available locally and I reserve the right to pull the auction if it sells locally.
