We personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so we can give your our first hand opinion of how each vehicle runs and drives. Please keep in mind as you read this description that we are neither mechanics nor do we operate a full service facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of our knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description carefully, read our terms & conditions and review each of the photos closely BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. Most of the questions we receive are already answered either in this description or in our terms & conditions. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 2002 Mercedes Benz C230. I would rate the exterior condition of this Mercedes to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a good looking car. Please don't expect perfect...this car does have in excess of 150k miles. However, the black finish does shine well and does not show any noteworthy damage. I did not see any body rust on this Mercedes either. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels show well. The tires have average tread all around. Overall, this is a good looking Mercedes. I would rate the interior of this Mercedes to be in BELOW AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of this vehicle. Overall, she doesn't look bad inside and there is nothing wrong with the interior that isn't easily fixed. The door panels are both tight. The drivers window switch panel is broken, but still operable. It is a quick and easy replacement. The carpets are average. The seats don't show any excessive wear. Overall, a cleaning wouldn't hurt. It has the common "machine gun locks". The climate control system is operable but will need serviced as the air conditioner does not blow cold. The cargo area is spacious. It is missing the spare tire cover. Again, nothing a little TLC wouldn't fix. Mechanically, this Mercedes does run and drive but will need some work. The 2.3L supercharged engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. It does appear to have an audible exhaust leak as most of these do at this age. The engine runs strong and makes lots of power. The front suspension will need redone. It is noticably loose over bumps and under hard braking. The most likely thing to replace is the ball joints but it would make sense to do the whole thing since it will need aligned anyway. The steering feels good. The brakes feel good. Out on the highway, she drives nice and strait with no complaints. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip. Gear changes through the manual transmission are smooth. THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT GO INTO 6th GEAR!!!! The shifter feels a little sloppy. You may get lucky and just need new linkage bushings for it to line up properly. Until then, it's basically a 5 speed. It isn't bad to drive. On the highway, it will do 75 in 5th at around 3,000rpm's which isn't bad considering it redlines at over 6,000 rpm. If it were me, I would do the front end and leave it go. For the expense of repairing the transmission, it just doesn't make sense to do considering the car is perfectly drivable as a five speed. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgement solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomidating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you may show up and no one is here.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, each bidder enters into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should they be the successful bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully excercized their ability to complete any diligence needed prior to placing their bid.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 administrative fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any transfer costs incurred by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
