Vehicle Detail
1985 Mercury Marquis Brougham with 90,xxx miles, the odometer has not over turned! I know the car's history and can explain to those who are interested in the car. I've done a lot of work to the car and have the receipts to prove it. I have owned it since March 2011. The engine is a 3.8L V6 and is TBI. The only problem I would consider with this car is the small coolant leak on the front cover of the engine. It is minute and only needs to be check every once in a while. The transmission is a 3-speed automatic in great shape and shifts perfectly fine. Other small problems with the 27 year old car are, there is some rust on the body, the gas gauge does not work, the rear windows do not work, the AC works but leaks quickly from the condenser, passenger side door lock doesn't work, and a corner light cover is broken but the light still works and there are some chips in the windsheild. The gas mileage is decent, I've gotten 21 with it last summer. I also primered the car myself, obviously This car is a great for a first car or just something you need to get around. Following work done to the car: new gas tank all four headlights replaced rear brake shoes done a few years ago head gaskets replaced along with intake and valve cover (heads are not warped) I painted the engine since I had it apart new radiator, hoses and thermostat last summer front suspension done November 2011 (struts, coil springs, sway bar links and tie rod ends) I got an alignment after I finished front brake pads and rotors new in Feb. both fuel pumps are replaced (in tank a few years ago and the one on the frame last summer) the tires are great and has a current inspection until March 2013 tuned up in January (new plugs and wires) differential oil changed last summer various sensors replaced on engine (coolant sensor, air charge sensor, idle control motor) new starter solenoid new water pump I've included pictures from when I did the head gaskets to show how clean the inside of the engine is
