L6 BMW, 149,327 miles. This will be my last auction posting of this car using this venue, if it doesn't go this time, I will install a running drivetrain and relist and reprice accordingly and drive it and advertise it locally. This is a very straight body (with minor dings as is to be expected from a used car this age that has been driven) no rust 6 series BMW with a very good leather interior with the leather dash replaced during the leather dash recall, the dash in this car is in excellent condition, which is hard to find with the e24. What it needs: The transmission leaks from the front seal and can be replaced for minimal money in just the seal if you were to do it yourself. The engine has a miss and fouls a plug with oil, I suspect a burnt ring as it smokes at idle, a good engine can be found for cheap. The passenger seat has some cracks, the passenger side door upholstery needs a clip, the drivers side door upholstery at the arm rest has a small tear, the rear console lid has a small tear, but the rear seats, drivers seat, glove box, headliner including sunroof, carpet at the kick panels and the floor are in great shape as well as the rear interior pillars, and over all the interior is in really good condition. The trunk lid upholstery will need to be replaced but the trunk carpet is in great shape and the rear windshield chrome trim will need to be installed. The car does fire right up and will drive, just leaks trans fluid. This car with a operational transmission and clean running motor and minor interior repairs, with the condition the car is in blue books at approximately $7,000.00. I would love to keep it and do the drivetrain swap myself as it would be less than $1500.00 and sell it for a lot more, but I have too many projects as it is and I am also moving back home out of state in a few months, so with regret it must go. The suspension and ride in this car is flawless. This luxury series 6 series was offered only one year in North America. The car will sell with the factory TRX tires and wheels.
