We personally road test each of the vehicles we sell so that we can give our first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind as you read our description that we are neither mechanics nor do we operate a full service facility. Every vehicle we sell is represented accurately and honestly to the best of our knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read our terms & conditions and review each of the photos carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. Most of the questions we get are already answered in our written condition report or in our terms & conditions. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a hard to find 1998 Oldsmobile LSS. I've always been a fan of these cars. They are very well equipped and have the indestructible 3.8L engine that has been the back bone of the GM family for their mid sized cars for decades. I will buy any car with a 3.8L engine regardless of miles...as you can see here. I would rate the exterior condition of this LSS to be ABOVE AVERAGE for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The finish is beginning to fade in some spots but looks good overall. I saw no signs of rust or chipping paint on this unit. There is a mysterious dent on the right rear conrner of the roof but it is hard to see unless you're right in front of it. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber all around. This is a good looking car in spite of having some miles on it. I would rate the interior of this LSS to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of this vehicle. Please keep in mind that this car has in excess of 200k miles on it. There is some normal wear that should be expected at this level of use. The door panel shows some wear as do the seats. The headliner is pretty good and the carpets also show well for their age. The fabric is coming apart on the "c" pillars inside the cabin. This is a very comfortable car to drive. The leather sport seats are supportive and feel great. This car is loaded with features and options. You get power windows, locks, mirrors and seats...all of which appear to be working properly. The audio system is original and sounds great. There are steering wheel controls for both the audio and climate control systems. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The air conditioner comes on but will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air. This LSS comes with its original owners manual and remote (which still works). The trunk is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this Oldsmobile appears to be in good running and driving condition. Like I said, the 3.8L engine has been a staple in the GM line for decades and has proven to be one of the best engines they have ever used. This one starts easily and idles smoothly. I did not see any noteworthy leaks and the engine does not smoke. There is a check engine light on for the crank position sensor. This is roughly a $40 part and usually easy to get to. It will cause hesitation once in a while or cause the engine to shut off while idling. It will always start back up, though. This is a minor and common issue. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes bring this full sized sedan to a stop with no issues. The engine makes great power and keeps a good temperature all the time. Accelleration is smooth and effortless. Highway cruising is nice and easy with no complaints. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. There are numerous maintainence markings in the engine bay going back through several years of service history. It's obvious that someone took pretty good care of this car. Accepted Payment Methods: Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw. Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later. All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day. We personally road test each of the vehicles we sell so that we can give our first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind as you read our description that we are neither mechanics nor do we operate a full service facility. Every vehicle we sell is represented accurately and honestly to the best of our knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read our terms & conditions and review each of the photos carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. Most of the questions we get are already answered in our written condition report or in our terms & conditions. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a hard to find 1998 Oldsmobile LSS. I've always been a fan of these cars. They are very well equipped and have the indestructible 3.8L engine that has been the back bone of the GM family for their mid sized cars for decades. I will buy any car with a 3.8L engine regardless of miles...as you can see here. I would rate the exterior condition of this LSS to be ABOVE AVERAGE for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The finish is beginning to fade in some spots but looks good overall. I saw no signs of rust or chipping paint on this unit. There is a mysterious dent on the right rear conrner of the roof but it is hard to see unless you're right in front of it. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber all around. This is a good looking car in spite of having some miles on it.
I would rate the interior of this LSS to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of this vehicle. Please keep in mind that this car has in excess of 200k miles on it. There is some normal wear that should be expected at this level of use. The door panel shows some wear as do the seats. The headliner is pretty good and the carpets also show well for their age. The fabric is coming apart on the "c" pillars inside the cabin. This is a very comfortable car to drive. The leather sport seats are supportive and feel great. This car is loaded with features and options. You get power windows, locks, mirrors and seats...all of which appear to be working properly. The audio system is original and sounds great. There are steering wheel controls for both the audio and climate control systems. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The air conditioner comes on but will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air. This LSS comes with its original owners manual and remote (which still works). The trunk is spacious and clean.
Mechanically, this Oldsmobile appears to be in good running and driving condition. Like I said, the 3.8L engine has been a staple in the GM line for decades and has proven to be one of the best engines they have ever used. This one starts easily and idles smoothly. I did not see any noteworthy leaks and the engine does not smoke. There is a check engine light on for the crank position sensor. This is roughly a $40 part and usually easy to get to. It will cause hesitation once in a while or cause the engine to shut off while idling. It will always start back up, though. This is a minor and common issue. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes bring this full sized sedan to a stop with no issues. The engine makes great power and keeps a good temperature all the time. Accelleration is smooth and effortless. Highway cruising is nice and easy with no complaints. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. There are numerous maintainence markings in the engine bay going back through several years of service history. It's obvious that someone took pretty good care of this car. Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomidating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you may show up and no one is here.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
