1974 VW Thing Convertible I had the engine rebuilt last year with anouther vw I own each engine has less than 500 miles and was rebuilt by a local guy in town Dons Vw and Buggy Everything on the engine is NEW. Body is solid! Floors are solid! No Bubble paint anywhere. Interior is as basic as it get Black. The Thing comes with TWO tops! ! canvas and a Hard Top. The Brakes are new, Brake lines are new, Brake shoes, drums, Bearings etc. Tires are new. On Aug-09-12 at 13:13:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Please let me revise this description! The engine on the VW Thing was rebuilt last year. The engine has less than 500 miles on it. The engine was rebuilt by a local guy in town "Dons VW and Buggy" he also rebuilt my 1962 vw ghia which is also listed on ebay. Car comes with the original VW THING Owners Manual and all receipts of past work. Two tops one is a hard top and the other is vinyl. (Sorry not canvas). The brakes are new, along with the brake lines, Brake shoes, drums, bearings etc. Tires are also are new. Turning signals, brake lights, front head lights, high beams all work. Floor boards are solid they too were also replaced. Instead of replacing the floor boards with a pan half I decided to replace the whole thing. Sorry i should have proof read my prior ad!
