Each vehicle we sell is represented accurately and honestly to the best of our knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire desctiption, read our terms & conditions and review each of the photos closely BEFORE asking questions or bidding. Most of the questions I get are already answered in this listing. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1997 Volkswagen Cabriolet. These are great little cars and are a blast to drive. When the Cabriolet was first introduced, they took the already fun Golf and took away the roof! It was almost certain to be a hit. I would rate the exterior condition of this Cabriolet to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking vehicle that has held up very well. The green finish shines well for its age and only shows two small spots of rust (bottom of one door and one fender). The only physical damage visible is a small spot on the right fender at the side of the headlight and is hard to see unless you're standing close to the vehicle. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The top is in good condition and operates easily with one person. The optional alloy wheels look good and are wrapped in a decent set of tires with average tread all around. Overall, this is a good looking car. Please review each of the photos closely. The drivers door lock cylinder will need replaced, which is easily done. I have the original. I would also rate the interior of this Cabriolet to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. The door panels are clean. The carpets show well for their age. There is visible wear on the drivers seat cushion which is common. The other seats show very well. The carpets are clean for their age. The liner to the top is in good condition. The dash is clean and shows no cracks. All of the windows work properly. Both front seats are heated. I cannot get the stereo to play. The cargo area is clean. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The a/c will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold. It is easy to see why these vehicles are so popular. This is a great drivers car. Mechanically, this Cabriolet appears to be in good running and driving condition. I have personally driven this Cabriolet and it is a blast to drive. The 2.0L cross-flow engine is virtually indestructible. When backed by the manual transmission, you get one of the most reliable vehicles on the road. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Driving this car is a blast. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this little convertible with no issues. The engine make good power and keeps perfect temperature at all times. I have not seen any warning lights. Out on the highway, she drives nice and smoothly with no complaints. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip. Gear changes through the manual transmission are nice and smooth. This car is an absolute pleasure to drive. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Accepted Payment Methods: Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw. Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later. All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day. Bid Retractions/Changes: I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1997 Volkswagen Cabriolet. These are great little cars and are a blast to drive. When the Cabriolet was first introduced, they took the already fun Golf and took away the roof! It was almost certain to be a hit. I would rate the exterior condition of this Cabriolet to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking vehicle that has held up very well. The green finish shines well for its age and only shows two small spots of rust (bottom of one door and one fender). The only physical damage visible is a small spot on the right fender at the side of the headlight and is hard to see unless you're standing close to the vehicle. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The top is in good condition and operates easily with one person. The optional alloy wheels look good and are wrapped in a decent set of tires with average tread all around. Overall, this is a good looking car. Please review each of the photos closely. The drivers door lock cylinder will need replaced, which is easily done. I have the original.
I would also rate the interior of this Cabriolet to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. The door panels are clean. The carpets show well for their age. There is visible wear on the drivers seat cushion which is common. The other seats show very well. The carpets are clean for their age. The liner to the top is in good condition. The dash is clean and shows no cracks. All of the windows work properly. Both front seats are heated. I cannot get the stereo to play. The cargo area is clean. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The a/c will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold. It is easy to see why these vehicles are so popular. This is a great drivers car.
Mechanically, this Cabriolet appears to be in good running and driving condition. I have personally driven this Cabriolet and it is a blast to drive. The 2.0L cross-flow engine is virtually indestructible. When backed by the manual transmission, you get one of the most reliable vehicles on the road. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Driving this car is a blast. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this little convertible with no issues. The engine make good power and keeps perfect temperature at all times. I have not seen any warning lights. Out on the highway, she drives nice and smoothly with no complaints. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip. Gear changes through the manual transmission are nice and smooth. Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomidating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you may show up and no one is here.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, each bidder enters into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should they be the successful bidder. Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 administrative fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any transfer costs incurred by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
