Vehicle Detail
This is a 1981 Ford Ambulance with Chateau trim. I've decided to sell it with no reserve this time. A total eye catcher for somebody wanting to promote their business. It was converted by an energy drink company to a promotional vehicle, and then later converted even further by a snowboard company. You can pick this thing up for a bargain. The rear inside of the ambulance has been done very well as you can see from the pictures, all new steel benches and walls, hard wood floors, and rear speakers. It also has a refrigerater and a microwave, but I don't know how to turn them on. The ceiling height in the rear is 5 foot. It also has a rear heater that works really well. The A/C is not working in the ambulance, but it does have one. All the promotional stickers and wraps have been removed. I found out that this is a V8 7.5L which should make this a Ford 460. It also has a GVWR of 11,000 which would make this at least a one ton if not larger. I've seen the 11,000 GVWR listed as E-450 and F-450's. It does have a dualie rear end on it, and is running an 8 lug rim. I'm aware that it is has the following in it... New Batteries, New Tires (with a matching spare), Two gas tanks, Refrigerator & Microwave. The sirens and lights work, but in most states they are illegal to operate. It has been sitting all winter, and for the most part has not been driven the last two years, so it definitely needs a tune up before extensive miles are put on it. It does start right up though. The title shows the mileage as 0 and I'm not sure if the odometer is correct or if it is really 189k miles on it. The odometer flips at 100k. I would not recommend somebody buy this and try and drive it home cross country. I get this question a lot. It is an 1981 ambulance, the walls are thin and it echo's, it get's loud inside at 60-65 miles per hour, plus any cross winds blow it around. Like I mentioned above, it has also been sitting, so it will need a tune up. If you decided to do this, it is at your own risk. Email me if you have questions.
