Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1970 Skylark. The car is all original with 82000ish miles. I bought the car in October last year and havent done much to it. I did buy a radiator, added an external tranny cooler, and bought the 15x8 turbo wheels. I still have the original 14 inch steel wheels with like new all season radials that will go with the car. I also have two GS sport mirrors that arent installed that come with the car. The engine runs excellent,no smoke no ticks,no knocks. The car runs and drives great. Body wise it has rust in the usual Skylark places. The bottoms of the front fenders(both sides) and the worst part the passenger side rear quarter. The trunk is very solid with the exception of a few pin holes, which are no big deal. I did install a new trunk seal which was the reason for the rust. The front bumper is great, the rear has rust, but I have a replacement rear bumper that also goes with the car. The AM radio which isnt installed also comes with the car. The only mechanical problem I know of is the gas guage always reads above full, and the windshield washer is not hooked up. I think it needs a new float in the gas tank. All lights inside and outside work. The car still has the original ignition(points). The floors are solid, the frame is solid. The doors are very solid and close like new,no rattles. It could use new shocks. The interior is perfect except for two rips on the driver side seat section. The back seat and headliner are perfect, again ALL original. The glass is all good. The car has the original top and paint. The sticker on the left side of the trunk is from Wade Buick in Chicago, Ill. where the car was bought brand new in 1970. It has a few dings, but is not a basket case or chopped up project like I've seen on here before. Its a SOLID driveable 42 year old car. The previous owner replaced the rear brake line and new exhaust from the y pipe back. Yes it still has single exhaust. thanks and happy bidding. On Aug-03-12 at 12:03:05 PDT, seller added the following information: The auction will end before I get back from California. I will contact the winning bidder when I return to set up picking up the car. If anyone has any questions they may call me at 330-592-4256 my name is Rob.On Aug-04-12 at 10:06:31 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention I put a new water pump on it and thermostat when I put the radiator in, just to make sure all was in good shape.
