Up for sale is my 1950 Buick Special with the automatic Dyna Flow transmission. This is a super straight and solid vehicle. It rides and drives just like a Buick should. It holds the road like a dream and rides better than some new cars. The motor is strong and the transmission shifts smooth. There are no leaks of any kind on this boat. All of the lights and turn signals work. I believe all the interior and dash lights work. The windshield wipers work very well. All the gauges (except the speedometer) work. I have a cable to install, so I'll try to get it working properly before the sale. I have started the restoration and have done quite a bit of work. Just to give you an idea of what I have invested....new brake shoes all around, rebuilt all the wheel cylinders and the master cylinder, completely gutted the interior and painted with POR 15 from top to bottom, new battery, new seat covers and carpet, all fresh fluids, complete new exhaust, new wheels bearings and seals, and lots of time and sweat. I did not replace the headliner, but I do have the rods and hardware for a new one to be installed. I have not started any body work on the car. I did scuff it and spray it with primer just as a protective messure. The only issues on the body are 2 cancer areas about the size of a dime directly above the rear bumper on the corners. I painted those with POR 15 to kill the rust. Other than that, there was only slight surface rust. There is also a small dent on the left rear directly in front of the wheel. It is not very noticeable, and should be an easy fix with a dolly and a touch of Bondo. It is definely a luxury of its time. The ONLY reason I am selling my Buick is because I have too many projects going, and my wife said something has to go. As much as I love driving this car, I have to choose it to sell over my 1962 Cadillac. The car really is a beauty as it sits and would be a treasure when completed.
