Dark blue looks great, Clean. Dirty. Covered in snow. Dry as a bone. Doesn't matter. All Wheel Drive gets you ANYWHERE you need to go. Yes I know it's 90+ degrees out, but think of Winter that's darn near right around the corner. Think 25-30+ MPG while everyone else is spinning their Prius/Corolla/Camry tires and you get to wave as you pass by. Seriously, don't you get tired of the new car stores shoving overpriced econo-boxes in your face at the cost of $15,000-18,000 only to get crank windows, BARELY seating for 4, cloth seats, paperthin airbagless doors, only to get a whopping 33-35 mph?? Maybe you've had enough with the local small dealers that didn't even detail the Volvo they had advertised for $4995?? Check my excellent feedback on the many Volvo sales. No worries. Considering the car's age and mileage, it looks great. Of course there are some scratches and scuffs. But no dents or visible rust. I'm no bodyman, but this 2 owner Autocheck reporting car shows no signs of bodywork, major repairs or repaint. Literally only a handfull of dings and no dents. The left front bumper cover has a decent scuff, but no damages, cracks or holes. The nose and hood look great with typical minimal rockchips, all of which have been touched up with a nearly matching paint. At least it shows the former owner cared enough to do it. The exterior is easily an 8.5 out of 10 with only the factory XC vinyl trim showing some fading. Above you can see the biggest eyesore of the exterior, the corner scuff. Most of which could be wetsanded out if desired. The remainder of the body is super nice. A few deeper scratches here and there, but most have been touched up with nearly matching paint. The headlight wipers are missing. Front matching tires have at least 75% treadlife left. All wheels are on nice vibration-free rims. Rear tires are matching Michelins with about 40% tread left. Michelin implies dealer servicing since that's the brand Volvo pushes. You can see the factory Volvo issued luggage rack crossbars are intact. Sunroof operates perfectly. Roof and hood shine very well. Outside the vinyl fading, the rear bumper cover looks super clean and undamaged. Even the front driving lights work as they should! Below, the interior gets an easy 8 out of 10 with the only real noticable wear is the driver's seat and a little rear storage carpet fading. Roof looks great. I hate smoke and the car doesn't smell of any. ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONG operates perfectly. All the power items work as far as I can tell, heated power seats, radio, dual climate control, sunroof, heated mirrors, locks, etc. Leather seating and vinyl door panels show minimal wear and tear. No major holes, rips or tears to be found. Driver's seat has the untypical center wear, stitching is separated, which is unusual, but the bolster shows minimal wear and no holes. Carpet is clean. Steering wheel isn't worn but discolored. Still feels nice while driving. All the dummy lights illuminate upon startup with ONLY the "SRS" light staying on. Since there are no signs of accidents, I'd suggest a bad sensor. Sorry, I do not have the proper diagnosing machine for the airbag system. No service engine codes. No worries. Don't forget the 3rd row seating!! Even has the factory upgraded seating pad for those long "ARE WE THERE YET" trips!! How about another nice expensive dealer upgrade....the 6 disc CD Changer!!! Intact with proper cartridge! Unseen is the complete intact spare tire setup WITH the factory tire bootie! You've never seen one?? You soon will! Ahhh...the 99-up rear armrest sporting drink holders. Such a necessity on trips. Above, only one key and no keyfobs are included. Sorry. This is the way I received the car. Only the 2 factory books are included as well. Below, you can see how cleaned and ungreasy the engine compartment is! Ahhh...yesssss....the beloved timing belt tag! Replaced at 81k leaving approximately 40-50k left. Contitech, the next best (and best to some) thing to the Volvo factory piece. This 2 owner NO RESERVE car was CLEARLY properly maintained. Recently as a month ago, in fact. See, the Contitech brand is the "aftermarket" equivalent of the factory Volvo piece. Basically the brand (like MANN filters) that the Volvo professional shops choose to use, yet aren't an actual dealership. From what my research shows, Contitech (Continental tires company) actually makes the Volvo brand belts anyway. Yes, I've actually pulled off the timing cover and inspected the belt and spark plugs. Looks to have some recent Volvo replacement coils as well. Also note the "VOLVO" labeled replacement battery. It was replaced only a month ago! The car's fluids are all clean. Fresh looking oil change, in fact. Underneath, I see no signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. Not a drip. Nothing on my shop floor left overnight. The lower right control arm/ball joint assembly is new. Air filter is clean. NGK spark plugs were inspected and look recent with minimal wear. Car fires right up and runs smooth and quiet. Turbo operates as it should. Transmission shifts perfectly. Suspension is quiet without a sound. Car drives straight and smooth with minimal pulling or wandering. Brakes are super strong and look very nice on un-pulsing rotors. The ONLY complaint I would have is the car displays some typical front to rear propshaft (driveshaft) flutter at slow speed tight turns, say into a driveway. This is pretty typical as it was an engineering oversight on Volvo's part, having an exhaust path right next to a flexible joint. The grease gets dried out and causes the flutter. I actually have 3 AWD cars (including my personal V70R with 181k) that have this common issue. The fix? Regrease the CV joint by the exhaust, unbolt the shaft or leave it with the flutter. Most of these shafts were designed to go for 200k miles. I disclose this, I promise you others won't. Otherwise the drivetrain (trans, front and rear differential) doesn't make a sound.
