The last one, was a totalled with salvage title, here on Ebay. No good. So, I took a shot on this trade-in so I could bring it to you. I have driven the car for a few short distances, running around doing personal things. It fires right up, runs, drives, shifts, GREAT! The car drives straight. No ridiculous suspension noises or popping. I'd recommend lower balljoints, as from my inspection, there is play. These are easy to swap and cheap to buy (item# 261021233263). Left front CV boot has a small tear, but no clicking or noises from the joints at all. No vibrations from the Bridgestone Blizzaks on the clean rims. Even the Differential Button works! Haven't seen that in forever. With the exception of the left rear bumper side cover missing, the car looks great, considering it hasn't even been detailed! Front bumper cover and hood have the typical rockchips, but everything is intact. I'm no bodyman, but I don't see any obvious signs of any repaints or repairs. Paint shines nicely but is dull enough to be the original. The remainder of the body is super straight. Only a handfull of dings to be found with no dents. I honestly haven't come across any visible rust either. Even the driving lights work, but one is burnt out. Notice the tread on the tires below. Yes, it's set up for the winter. Kind of overkill if you ask me, considering to expense of the Blizzak tires. The car is AWD afterall! Clearly there is a body piece missing. Sorry, don't have it. The rear bumper cover looks nice. Minimal scratches or scrapes. No holes or damages. LOVE the rear wing! Engine compartment is super clean. Sorry, I have no history on any maintenance items. The engine fires right up with the help of a recent strong Interstate battery. No noises. Original looking exhaust has a little V6 Audi growl but is plenty quiet. Oil is spotless and looks to have been recently changed with a new filter. No overheating. The underside of the engine and trans/diff look clean. Transmission and clutch shift properly with no slop or grinding. Trans and driveline are quiet with no clunkc or noises. I smelled a HINT of burnt oil while driving. Parked, I can't see any smoke up front around engine or rear from tailpipe. Doesn't seem to be any major leaking altho there were a few damp areas. I washed them off so it can be monitored for the future. The car isn't leaving any spots on my shop floor while parked overnight. Maybe just a poor securing of the oil filter at one time? I also know these 2.8s are notorious for that rear driver's cylinder head leak from a $12 cam cap. I haven't had the time to fine-tooth-comb inspect this car. I mentioned the NO RESERVE, right? Interior is in amazing condition considering it's age. Sterring wheel is unworn. Leather is nice, altho could use a deep cleaning along with the carpet. Doorpanels are nice, but as you can see, they need regluing from the original glue letting loose. Power windows work except the left rear. Locks work. Climate control panel works but has the typical pixel failure. At least the vent functions work. Air Conditioning does not work altho a quick check showed it is holding pressure in the system. Push the button on control and it only flashes when you push it. Maybe just a pressure sensor or the climate panel? Heated leather front seats. Horn works. All lighting works. Wipers works. Comes with an aftermarket Alpine CD player with detachable face and remote control. Driver's seat bolster is minimally worn altho there is a small hole in the lower bolster. Interior roof is nice with only a few spots to clean. Power roof works properly but is missing a small portion of fabric. Unseen, the rear seating headrests are splitting from the drying of the sun over the years. Easily re-sewn if desired. Below, I tried to take a pic of the lower windshield crack. Doesn't interfere with vision. Notice, no cracks or fading in the dash! As you can see, ALL the dummy lights illuminate during startup with none on during run. Note: the odometer/speedometer. It doesn't work. I'm not sure why but I have seen the fix is easy and cheap. I've heard there are one or 2 (one at each front wheel) electrical speed sensors that can be bought off Ebay for under $15 each. And also a little plastic speedo gear that fails, for about $9. The car is well exempt from mileage reporting over 10years old. So, right now, you can't tell how fast you are going. Because of this, the Cruise doesn't work either. Yes the remainder of the guages work properly. (In a sneezing voice AhhhhChooNO RESERVE!) You may have noticed, the kneebolster is removed and in the trunk. I don't know why, but the hoodlatch came undone. It worked perfectly when I got the car, then didn't. I can easily pop the hood with a screwdriver, but I have removed the bolster to ease the repair for you when you get home. Notice the nice set of component speakers installed in the rear! Radio works fine but will need rewiring since the power doesn't shut off with the key. I've been pulling the faceplate off. Complete spare setup seems to be intact and ready for your roadtrips! Sorry, no floormats. Comes with the factory books/manuals and one key, as you see below. You've always wanted another one of these little FUN Audi's!!
