Up for sale is a 1972 Oldsmobile 98 with the original 455 Oldsmobile Rocket Engine and an automatic transmission. The vehicle is sold as is. Recent work on the car includes a new automatic transmission with less than one hundred miles as well as a new alternator and battery. The car went through a professional tuneup at Wargo Automotive of Chesapeake Virginia and runs like a top as well a rework on the brakes, axle, and wheel cylinders. This car wears its original paint with little surface patina in locations but no rust through. The engine runs strong and does not smoke. Idles fine in traffic and moves this heavy beast with ease. Aside from all the professional work done on this car to get it road worthy and ready for sale, the interior of the car is the main selling point. It is all original and immaculate for its age. The dash is not cracked anywhere and the upholstery on the seats looks new and feels great. All the doors line up solidly with the frame and open and close with ease. The power seats, windows, and locks all work and the AC just needs a fresh charge to blow cold air again. The car came equipped with Cruise Control, but it needs to be tuned professionally to reliably work again. With a fresh paint job this car would be an awesome cruiser with a huge back seat, a massive trunk, a powerful, reliable engine, and classic comfort all around.
