An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Volkswagen Passat GLX VR6. I would rate the exterior condition of this Passat to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking Passat. With the exception of the trunk lid (the clear coat has come off of nearly half of it), this is a great looking car. The dark red finish shines very well all around. Other than the aforementioned trunk lid and a small piece of rubber molding missing, there is no noteworthy damage to report on this vehicle...which is exactly why I purchased it. It is hard to find an older Passat in good shape these days. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The wheels are updated alloys from a newer Passat. The tires show average tread all around with no uneven wear. Please take time to review each of the photos. I would rate the interior of this Passat to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The only bad thing I have to say about the interior of this Passat is that the plastic interior door handle is broken and can easily be replaced for a few dollars. I'm sure there are several available on eBay. Otherwise, the door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show extremely well for their age...especially considering how easily tan carpet gets dirty. The leather seats show minor wear and are in great shape for their age. Both front seats are heated. The power windows, mirrors, sunroof and central locks all appear to be working properly. The trunk is spacious and clean. The stereo system is the factory original cassette deck with the rare factory CD changer still in the trunk. You'll need to get the radio code from the dealer. I had to replace the battery in this car so the radio is locked. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The air conditioner works but is on the weak side and would benefit from a charge to finish out the season in comfort. The dash is clean, too. It's apparent that the previous owner took good care of this car. Mechanically, this Passat appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.8L narrow angle V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I didn't see any leaks. The only modification to this car appears to be an aftermarket exhaust which sounds good. This engine runs pretty quiet for an older VR and makes plenty of silky smooth power. Crack the throttle open and she screams to redline in every gear with the sweet sound only a VR6 can make. Driving this car is a pleasure, too. The suspension feels tight like it should. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes bring this car to a stop with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and strait. Out on the highway, there is a very slight vibration in the front at speeds over 80mph. The engine keeps perfect temperature at all times and there were no warning lights on. I was a little nervous buying an older VR6 but I'm glad I did. This Passat is a perfect example of what a well built car can do if it is taken care of. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Accepted Payment Methods: Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw. Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later. All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day. Each vehicle is personally road tested before it is offered for sale so we can give you our first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind as you read this description that we are not mechanics nor do we operate a full service facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of our knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, review our terms & conditions and check out each of the photos in detail BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Volkswagen Passat GLX VR6. I would rate the exterior condition of this Passat to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking Passat. With the exception of the trunk lid (the clear coat has come off of nearly half of it), this is a great looking car. The dark red finish shines very well all around. Other than the aforementioned trunk lid and a small piece of rubber molding missing, there is no noteworthy damage to report on this vehicle...which is exactly why I purchased it. It is hard to find an older Passat in good shape these days. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The wheels are updated alloys from a newer Passat. The tires show average tread all around with no uneven wear. Please take time to review each of the photos.
I would rate the interior of this Passat to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The only bad thing I have to say about the interior of this Passat is that the plastic interior door handle is broken and can easily be replaced for a few dollars. I'm sure there are several available on eBay. Otherwise, the door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show extremely well for their age...especially considering how easily tan carpet gets dirty. The leather seats show minor wear and are in great shape for their age. Both front seats are heated. The power windows, mirrors, sunroof and central locks all appear to be working properly. The trunk is spacious and clean. The stereo system is the factory original cassette deck with the rare factory CD changer still in the trunk. You'll need to get the radio code from the dealer. I had to replace the battery in this car so the radio is locked. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The air conditioner works but is on the weak side and would benefit from a charge to finish out the season in comfort. The dash is clean, too. It's apparent that the previous owner took good care of this car.
Mechanically, this Passat appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.8L narrow angle V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I didn't see any leaks. The only modification to this car appears to be an aftermarket exhaust which sounds good. This engine runs pretty quiet for an older VR and makes plenty of silky smooth power. Crack the throttle open and she screams to redline in every gear with the sweet sound only a VR6 can make. Driving this car is a pleasure, too. The suspension feels tight like it should. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes bring this car to a stop with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and strait. Out on the highway, there is a very slight vibration in the front at speeds over 80mph. The engine keeps perfect temperature at all times and there were no warning lights on. I was a little nervous buying an older VR6 but I'm glad I did. This Passat is a perfect example of what a well built car can do if it is taken care of. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomidating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you may show up and no one is here.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.

The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
