ABSOLUTE SALE ENDS WITH NO RESERVE SUNDAY NIGHT! Kelly Blue Book pricing for this car is at the link below. I'd say the car is AT LEAST in FAIR condition. Please bid accordingly as I assure you, with NO RESERVE, others will! http://www.kbb.com/volvo/v70/2001-volvo-v70/24t-wagon-4d/?vehicleid=5348&intent=trade-in-sell&mileage=177950&options=204819%7ctrue%7c204929%7ctrue%7c204933%7ctrue%7c204955%7ctrue%7c204857%7ctrue&pricetype=private-party#survey In need of a quality car quick?? Safety? Reliability? Affordability? Family of children but don't want a boring mini-van? How about a nice dealer kept Volvo with 3rd row seating and built-in child booster seats?? Here you go!!! I'm a bit sad to see this car go. Super nice to drive. Smooth. Quiet. NO RESERVE CHEAP! The car overall inside and out in a 7-8 out of 10. I'm no bodyman, but the left front fender surely has been repainted. The clean AutoCheck (on my cellphone) shows 2 owners and one minor accident, hence the fender repaint. The whole car is cleaned up but definitely needs a professional detail. Left front fender could get a wetsanding and the rest of the car a buff to remove the minor scratches. Amazingly the car only has a handfull of dings and no dents. Absolutely ZERO visible rust to be found. Front bumper cover is nice. Typical minor rockchips and scuffs but no damages, cracks or holes. Vinyl trim is a bit faded but still looks good. Considering the mileage the hood even looks great. Minimal chips. Paint shines nicely now, just wait til AFTER the buff from your favorite detailer! Above you can see those minor scuffs on the bumper cover, and the dullness of the fender. Below is a shot of the important things, Nice Tires! Mechanically this car is in great shape! Cornells are on 3 of the 4 rims. Fronts are matching and easily have 70% tread left. Rears are darn near new. The left rear being a nearly new Michelin! This is totally a sign of recent Volvo Dealer maintenance. Add that to the recent "Fields Volvo" oil change tag, good til 180k, and I'd say you're off to a good start! Above, hard to see but a deep scratch on the corner of the quarter panel. Below, the rear bumper cover has seen better days, plenty of parking lot bumper tag cuts and scrapes. No cracks, tho. Easily touched up if it's an eyesore to you. Note the new Michelin. The 7 out of 10 interior definitely has seen better days. Still totally comfortable and great looking, it's in dire need of a deep cleaning. You can tell this was a soccer mom car. Marker lines on the doorpanel. Sticker residue and leftovers were found. The car doesn't smell of smoke or anything (I hate smoke) but you can see signs of a pet in the storage area. Please understand, I've vacuumed and wiped down things, and you may or may not even notice. I'm only disclosing things that I personally know about(Who tells you these things besides me, btw??), as if you are here next to me looking at the car. To be honest, things don't look WORN. Just used. Seats need to be cleaned with proper cleaner. I got some of the years off but don't have the proper leather cleaner. There aren't any holes, cuts or tears in the leather, doorpanels, or carpeting. Steering wheel even looks unworn. Headliner has quite a few stains in it, not in a spilled liquid way, but in a dirty hands leaving marks way. I tried OXY cleaner on a few and marks easily came off. Again, professional detail is worth every penny! No Reserve, remember!?! At least the driver's bolster is still in nice condition. ALL the dummy lights illuminate upon startup as they should with NONE on during run. Everything works on the car, from what I can tell, EXCEPT the Air Conditioning. I can hear the compressor cycling, but hardly any cold coming from the vents. Sorry, I just don't have the proper AC service machine to address this. Heat, power windows, power locks, mirrors, radio, sunroof, cruise, climate control, wipers (front and rear), etc all works as they should. Above you can see a few of the headliner marks. Hard to see in my pics, but the leather and carpet need a good cleaning on mid floors and rear (below). Note the child booster seats and rear cloth seating! Easy SAFE SIDE AIRBAG seating for 5 kids and a roadtrip! I can hear them screaming already, ARE WE THERE YET? Unseen below is the complete spare tire setup and super strong battery tucked away neatly in the floor of the rear area. Plenty of hidden storage on either side as well. Must have had a talented artist riding on this side of the car! I plan to wipe the marker lines off before your pickup of the car. Sorry, I didn't notice em being on the far side of the vehicle (never to be seen since I only drove). Above, the car only comes with the basic manual, one key and one working keyfob. Below, is the main interior eyesore. The worn parking brake boot and swinging armrest is broken off and nowhere to be found. I'm sure a junkyard can supply you with one if needed. Believe it or not, the engine compartment is super clean! It's not all greased up and glossy with spray shine. It's just clean. It fires up and runs perfectly. As stated, recent Volvo servicing included an oil/filter change. Left rear Michelin tire replacement. My inspection found tight noise-free suspension and excellent brakes. Transmissions were an issue on these 2001 V70s if not properly serviced. This transmission functions properly with no issues. The front and right lower motor mounts were ALWAYS a wearing item on these cars, but guess what?? Brand new!! Out of the wrapper spotless! Below you can see the Volvo dealer only timing belt tag. Changed at 125k, leaves you with at least 25k left! I've inspected it and it looks exactly that old. Car doesn't seem to have any major oil or coolant leaks. Not leaving spots on my shop floor overnight. No overheating. Oil and coolant levels are normal. Turbo is smooth and works properly. BID BUY AND DRIVE ANYWHERE WITH 100% CONFIDENCE! No worries. NO RESERVE!! I apologize in advance if I sound like I'm scolding....but this NEEDS to be said. This vehicle is AS-IS/AS-SHOWN. The vehicle is in Illinois being sold by a dealer. WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE for your individual state's "inspection" or emissions compliance. I am simply trying to offer you and possibly your family a quality reliable vehicle. 690,000 cars were pulled from our roads during the Clunkers "program"....like most Americans, I still can't afford a new car and now have to sell(and drive)from what's left. I sell $3000-$6000 vehicles. Mostly what I would personally drive or own. I don't know if you are buying in my state or in Virginia or California...so I HAVE to make our cars ready for the road trip. I don't know who will be driving the car....so I HAVE to make it ready for your teen or your job in the morning. I can only promise I do the BEST that I can with what I have and what I sell. My EXCELLENT FEEDBACKS prove it. I'm not here to rip people off. I'm also here to help so feel free to contact me after purchase for anything....or even if you have any questions about a future purchase. Also, understand that I spend many countless hours (inspecting, repairing, cleaning, taking pics and writing specific personal ads) for everything I sell...not to mention the $125 sell fee that is charged to me at the end. Please don't jack around if you don't plan to go thru with the purchase. Thanks for your understanding. Now you're at the bottom. Hopefully I've covered the main specifics of the vehicle and eased your mind. I understand that you are putting yourself or your loved ones in this vehicle. I personally have put my own mother in an 01 C70 with 175k miles(which I just roadtripped 1500miles) and I personally drove a 98 S70 with 220k miles(which I just sold-see POSITIVE feedback)! Many of my personal friends drive cars that I have sold them. I treat you no different. If I haven't covered any of your questions or concerns, please feel free to email or call me at 815.744.7223. My name is Eric. Also understand that I have the right to end the auction early due to local sale. I STILL REQUIRE a $500 deposit to be made within 24hours. Use Paypal for the deposit please. Of course I understand each bidder/buyer has different payment needs. Sorry....no financing is available on this transaction. Please secure your own from you bank of choice BEFORE bidding. Remember....24 hours $500 deposit due....3 days for payment in FULL. Naturally I will assist in ANY shipping needs! Thank you for your interest on this NO RESERVE auction! GOOD LUCK! Venue of sale is Will County, Illinois. ALL BUYERS are responsible for $99 DOC fee. ALL ILLINOIS BUYERS responsible for 7% sales tax, $99 License Plate fee (or $30 current valid plate transfer fee), $95 Title fee. ALL COOK COUNTY (Chicago area) BUYERS responsible for 8.25% sales tax. There are about 8 other states that I (unfortunately) have to collect tax....but it's usually at a discount vs. regular in state. Vehicle is sold AS-IS/AS-SHOWN with no warranty expressed or implied. Please follow deposit and payment instructions posted. Cash in person is preferred payment. After full payment is made, you will receive vehicle (as shown/stated in this ad), title, associated paperwork and key(s). Please email or call regarding out of state pickup at local train station (Union Station-Joliet, IL) or closest airport (Midway-Chicago-MDW). I will happily assist in pickup for a fee to cover my time and fuel costs.
