This car is one of only 4,970 produced in 1936 before Airflow production was cancelled. For every Desoto Airflow built in 1936, over 100 Plymouths were sold (520,025). If 1% survived The Depression, WW II, and the high school kids who bought them in the ‘50s, there are probably fewer than 50 left on earth. It is a well maintained original car with a repaint and new upholstery. The previous registration was from California and there appear to be no serious rust issues. Brakes were totally replaced with new or rebuilt cylinders, new steel brake lines and hoses, drums turned, and the front end is correctly aligned. Tires have very few miles on them. The car has been regularly driven, serviced, and kept inside. The exterior has an attractive paint job in good condition with minor hood and road marks here and there. The engine has an exhaust manifold leak where a stud is missing, but runs fine with plenty of power for 241.5 cubic inches. The fuel gauge is inoperative and the speedometer is “lazy” coming to rest at 15-30 MPH and snapping into life once road speed builds up. There are minor leaks at the pinion seal and sector shaft. Other than those items, it is good to go and is located in Redmond, Washington. Seller’s representative will meet any potential buyer and facilitate an inspection and road test for $100 paid in advance via Pay Pal. The fee will be refunded if the purchaser buys the car. Will meet buyer’s transportation vehicle and assist in load-out at no charge. Vehicle is sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty.
