Up for consideration is a super nice 1979 Volvo 242GT. This is a rare, all original rust-free survivor. This car has every record, original books, tool kit, delivery papers since new with even a gas log showing every time fuel was purchased. This is a two owner car with the prior owner being an 83 year old man who had this car for 28 years. The prior owner only parted with the car because he could no longer drive a manual transmission. A recent service has been performed on this car including new fuel pumps and mounts and this car runs and drives great. This car can be driven cross country without any worries. This car is super nice with all of the original GT options including corduroy seats with GT inserts, GT stripe kit, sunroof, alloy wheels, overdrive, tachometer, 8 track tape player and cold A/C. This is a very very nice car with great mechanicals and all options work including the clock and the 8 track player which even has the original Volvo 8 track demo tape. Cosmetics look great! The car has been repainted once in the original silver and restriped with the correct stripe kit and still looks great and there are no signs of any rust. Underside of car is wonderfully rust free as well. Maintenance records are all present and this car has received all the attention it needed throughout the years. The only issue our mechanics can find is the sunroof is fairly tight and may require some maintenance/lubrication in the future.
